Visit to the Salt Cave.
I did promise to report back once I visited the Salt Cave.
It is as seen in the picture and this runs on a franchise.
I was expecting to go a hot place and thought I would need a change of clothing but that was not the case. The Cave or should be called room is at room temperature and there are blankets on each chair in case you feel cold. There are magazine around to read if you feel like although some people there glued to the phones or tablets. Towards the end of the session, I asked a couple of people if they'd visited before. One said it's her second visit and another lady said it's her fourth visit. They both claimed they noticed a slight difference in their cough or breathing after the initial session. I have not noticed any dramatic changes personally since my visit.
There is an option to the cave and that is the use of salt pipes which according to the receptionist is an alternative. One of the ladies I spoke to said the pipe 'didn't work' for her, she prefers to visit the cave.
One is advised to visit twice a week for at least 18 hourly sessions which can be covered in nine weeks to maximise the benefit. For me that would be not be possible as it is far to visit.
Other alternative is the salt lamp which I later found on Amazon but one needs to learn to detect fakes. By far the best option is have a room plastered in salt, which can be visited as often as one wishes. It is now easy for me to understand why it is believed that people who live near seaside breath better. What do you think?
In Poland, where this idea originated, it is not uncommon to find salt mines used for this purpose and this was confirmed by a polish lady. Polish Caves:
As an alternative therapy what does Salt Caves/salt therapy do:
Reduces inflammation and mucus
Removes airbourne pollen
Improves brain function
Salt delivers valuable minerals to the nervous system
Enjoy the findings.
