I especially like this comment in the article: 'However the problem with this is that you start comparing yours to theirs.. You want your blog to look as good as theirs do & you want your posts to be of just as high quality.
The one thing you forget is that the blogs you’re looking at have probably been around for years, and they most likely didn’t look anything like that when they first started out'.
Recently here in WA community, I learnt how to change the dates of posts. I can now see why.

You know I just started going back to my very first posts on my website to start tweaking some things so that they look better and are easier to read. I read my very first post and I was shocked at how short it was, haha! I think it was just like 80 words! Going back though and starting the process of tweaking my posts, it is amazing to see the changes and transformation from when I first started to now.
You are absolutely right in saying that someone's awesome blog now more than likely did not look nothing like that when they first started out. That's why I love the training here and the helpful community. As you learn, your posts and other content start improving and before you know it, it almost becomes second nature when adding content, great, quality content to your site. I know it is much easier writing a good post now than it was back when I first started on my website nearly 2 years ago!
I totally agree with you. That is why it is so important not to try and be mr/mrs perfect first time. We can always go back and tweak.

I know google has it but when you update your blog, I think it's good to update the date too.
