2020 did not win.
Hi Family
Did anyone get this inscription prior to the end of 2020. I received a similar message via whatsapp and it got me thinking.
It relates to the way 2021 is pronounced.
Let's look at it in-depth, why does it appear that 2020 won.
We have learnt:
How to wash our hands more than ever before
We realised we don't need many things.
We had more than we needed.
We cared more for people around us.
We covered our eyes and mouth more than ever.We did many things we would not normally do.
Anybody can be affected by COVID regardless of status.
Christmas, birthday, funeral plans drastically curtailed or non existent
For me 2020 did not win, but it taught the world a lot of pandemic lessons and prepared the whole world for different ways of doing things.
Unfortunately, many of us have been adversely affected but this is temporary as we all take steps to retrain and gain new skills.WA will play a bit part in that.. will be the better winner because of the lessons learnt.
Moving Forward- 'There is good in every evil'
Working from home is now and will be the norm for majority of people.
We will all be travelling less, more time at our disposal.
Meetings will be taking place virtually than in the past.
Small businesses will be affected by changes.
Strip yourself of things you don't need.
Set boundaries, when to be online and when to stay off.
Pay attention to your mental health. Do not be anxious.
Take regular exercises, even if it just walking.
Be grateful and thankful.
Learn new skills.
You health is your wealth, care good care of it.

There is something to be learned in every situation. Some people learn it and others just keep repeating it!
I learned that I can happily be an introvert, only seeing my hubby, dogs, and cat, for days at a time, provided I can talk on the phone with a few others. I also learned that WA could provide a noticeable part of my social life.

Evidently some folks need a LOT of toilet paper...just sayin'...
I love a good sense a humor.
At the start of COVID, a computer shop told me computers were in demand like toilet rolls.
