Hello Beautiful WA people,
I am in the midst of a small crisis. The program that I am a direct affiliate for has contacted me through their attorney saying I am too close to

I am so sorry to hear of this. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and keep you in my prayers that everything will work out for you. Keep the faith. God answers prayer.

Absolute appreciation for your kindness. Thank you Elores.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. It might not be what you would like to do, but you may have to re-write things. Ask for clarification of what they are talking about first. It could be that you just need to change a few things. Then send them the updates to see if they will approve them. Make sure to keep the correspondence. Print it out and keep a file so they can't do this again. Either that or find another affiliate program.

Anita

I don't see how you could be in violation. The only word you use in your website name is "Bright". I don't know what to say.

Thank you for your support! I am so confused too, they approved the title in January and the only requirement at the time was that I identify the program or founder in the first fold of my site/ blog posts and create a link to their site. I do have the email conversations and approval but ultimately they get to (re)decide if it is something they want. I will hopefully hear back today.

Prayers are in order for this to work out in your favor -- and that it is an error on their part! Please keep us informed.

I'm sorry this is happening to you, but the use of the word "Bright" with the successive matching can easily cause someone to confuse the actual product name. I lost the product name between Line, Mind and Body. You are too close. You may not win this one.

Ask them to clarify which proprietary material they object to you using (if you don't know) and then comply with their request.

Expand your affiliate associations to include other weight-loss systems and supplements. And move forward. Join Amazon and ClickBank.

You CAN do this.

If you're promoting them and their products, it's very bizarre for them to say you're too close to their trademarked material. It's not like you're using their material to pass off their products as your own, you're promoting for them... I hope they can clarify what they expect you to do...

That's what I think too.

Hey Eric!! Good to hear from you!! I feel like you are my WA big brother!! (although I am prob older!) I had this cleared in the beginning of creating the site and blogs and from what I understood I was following their requirements. I am totally confused too. Thank you for your message, I really appreciate your support.

Another thing I would do is instead of replying to the email sent to you, I would go directly to their support from their site and describe your issue. You can reference the email and the conversation to their support team. It's odd for a lawyer to contact you directly, and there's always an outside chance with online scams that this isn't really the merchant you're talking to but someone trying to scam you. Now, I'm not saying that's the case, but to be on the safe side, just reach out to the merchant you're affiliated with directly instead of replying the email and try to get to the bottom of this.

Sending prayers and good vibes your way. I pray that you can continue with all your writing as is. I hope it all works out for you very soon.

I am so relieved I reached out. It is wonderful to have your support. Thank you so much!

You're welcome - anytime! Hoping it all goes well for you.

Wow! Best wishes Kathleen for a good resolution to the situation.

This does sound kind of scary. I hope there is a simple misunderstanding. You have my thoughts and prayers
