Snowy Day - And a Day Off Work!
I thought I was in the clear in terms of no more wintry weather. I was wrong, but I was happy to get that automated phone call last night. I heard my cell phone ring and I saw "Trenton, NJ" on the caller ID. I kept thinking - I hope that is good news! Sure enough, it was. I heard the recording "all state offices are closed". Yes!
This reminds me of my younger days when I was in school. I would listen to the radio waiting to hear if school was closed due to heavy snow.
So now this gives me time to work on my websites and my online stores.
I didn't see any of the feral cats yet today. They must have stayed in "hibernation" during the snowstorm. I left them some food that Freddie didn't finish but it wasn't eaten. I will see if they come out later today after the snow stops.
Freddie is happy to be a house cat. He survived possibly two winters as a stray. Now he will never take a step outside again.

Although I don't have a 9 to 5, it was a great feeling knowing that I didn't have to go in for my part-time gig. I was definitely feeling grateful that I didn't have to venture outside for anything in that storm. Glad you had a productive day Karin!
Oh yes, even days off work can be productive. My "lazy days" are pretty much over since I started my websites and online stores.
I did have to plow snow a few times in NJ a few years back. However in Norway the rules are slightly different, school is only off if the temperature drops below -30C. That's it, plain an simple:-)
We have about 16 inches here.The snow is nice an light for shoveling.

I hear that my cousin Pat in Nova Scotia is about to get hit with a large dumping of snow as the storm makes it way NE from you.

This weather is NUTS! Yesterday I was driving around Bergen County with my windows open and enjoying 60 degree weather and today I am clearing several inches of snow off of my vehicle in 30 degree windy weather. I slept most of the day. :)
I also drove with the car windows open. I also went outside without a jacket. Later on I kept hearing on the weather report 8-10 inches of snow. That's crazy after having temperatures in the low 60's.
I'm in Queens, New York and I was very doubtful that we'd get anything today since we had that same 60-degree weather. Glad you were able to get some rest, Robert!
