You would need to contact the host where you had that website on and see if they can recover the content for you.
Changing themes doesn't mean you have to start over. All the content remains unchanged. You just may have to tweak the layout of the new theme to fit the content where you want.
You can always switch back to your previous theme if you want to go back.
You deleted your website? If you've deleted the website then your content is deleted with it.
If this was a site hosted here at WA, you could create a ticket with support and they'd probably have a backup for you, but you mentioned this is a site hosted outside WA, right? Unless you or that hosting provider had a backup, then you've deleted your content.
