You are THE ONE [The final lesson from The Matrix or is it?]
At long last, the final lesson from the movie, The Matrix.
But first, a brief recap of the previous lessons explored (with handy links to each):
- From "I can't do this" to being able to fly
- Don't let things "bug" you
- Taking the same road
- Wool over your eyes—we are born into bondage—a prison for your mind
- Red pill vs. Blue pill
- Kansas is going bye-bye
- Welcome to the "real" world
- You are more than a battery
- We can only be shown the door, we have to walk through it
- Free your mind
- Everybody falls the first time
- Most people are not ready to be unplugged
- There is no spoon
The final lesson for today will include: embracing a world where anything is possible and becoming THE ONE!
(I don't think I quite met the goal of writing 17 of these, but I think 14 is a good number!
I had a lot of fun perusing the many facets of this "diamond" of a movie. I hope you all had a good time reading them.
A world where anything is possible
It doesn't have to be a world created in fiction for us to be able to "fly." Once we begin to see the possibilities, we can begin to believe. What are we going to believe? Probably not that we can actually fly (at least not without the aid of an airplane or helicopter or some other flying device).
I am a firm believer in possibilities. I am not one who believes in magic to get us what we want. But I do believe that with work, perseverence and honesty we can make something like magic happen!
Embracing a world where anything is possible is often a difficult thing to comprehend. Most of us are not accustomed to thinking beyond what we see or what we can imagine.
I challenge you to begin to envision greater things. "Impossible" things. Visualize what you want and go for it!
BE THE ONE: THE FINAL LESSON FROM THE MATRIX
All the previous lessons bring us to this final lesson which actually encompasses a lot of things, but culminates in becoming The One.
The One probably means different things to different people, but to me it means being the one we are called to be, realizing our purpose and living out that purpose.
There is a quote from the Keymaker in the second Matrix movie that says something like this: "I know because I *must* know. It is my purpose. It is the reason I am here. The same reason we are *all* here."
He also states, "We do only what we're meant to do."
When we find that purpose, that which we are meant to do, we can become the one.
What are you meant to do? What is your purpose?
Obviously, I can't answer that question for you. It is one you have to answer yourself. But the fact is, we all have a purpose and our lives have meaning even when we don't feel like either is true.
We have to evaluate ourselves and realize our potentials. That is the key—realizing our potentials!
By realizing our potential WE BECOME THE ONE!

Hi Karin,
This was a brilliant idea to create a blog series using the Matrix where each chapter was used to teach a new lesson. I will have to go back and read all of them, so I've bookmarked this post.
All the best to you.

Awesome! you didn't think I was going to miss it did you just set to one side to read at a later stage. Well you've certainly given more to being the best you can already and that journey continues despite what the good Jeff Brown says it continues on it is not a finite point that quest to be the best you can be is a life long journey at least from me and I'm still plying that road,
Well done Karin I believe from what I have read from you you've hit a milestone in hoe you view yourself and the world around you that can only be beneficial.
Onward and upwards!
