There's No Place Like Home
The theme of Dorothy's story is that there really is "no place like home."
Farming was one of the first "work from home" businesses. Back in the day, most work was done from home. The industrial age had a lot to do with transforming people's lives into working for "the man."
Now, the computer age is bringing back the "work from home" (or anywhere you want) business.
I love the flexibility that this age is giving us. It's different from the original work from home businesses. Why, even farming is very different from how it used to be. (Unless you are Amish, then it's pretty much the same hard labor. I live in a community with a large Amish population.)
The point of all of this is that our work from home businesses really can be a boon to the economy. Just like in the past hundreds of years that family farms or family (mom-and-pop) businesses built our economies, so can our businesses.
How, you may ask?
We offer a service or an answer to a problem or problems that people are seeking solutions for. Whether your website is a WA affiliate site or about diabetes or weight loss or parenting or diapering or diapering your parents, we are serving a purpose by having well-written, well-thought-out and well-researched information for our visitors!
If we make a sale from our site, all the better and thus, completing the circle!

Speaking of farming, I stumbled across an interesting article of "Garden pool". Talking about working from home with farming, technology, and creativity combined.
It is an article about one man's goal in making his own food for his immediate family. He used his own backyard with an empty pool for farming. He succeed his goal and more. Now he is teaching and bringing it internationally... What an inspiration!
Anyhow, anything is possible. No matter how small or big, we all make a difference.

Thank you for sharing your well-written post, Karin. You combine good content with effective images. I especially like how some of your images are a cut-out circle. I've seen those elsewhere and I like the effect. Is that something we can do here on WA? Or do you use an app to get that shape?

I'll tell you, Karin, I am so glad to be involved in this type of industry rather than farming. That is hard work! This might be hard, but it is not so physically exhausting. I'll take WA any time.
I agree. We should remember that we are in the business of helping others. Our sites need to be based on that premise.

Thank you! My grandparents were farmers. For years I thought that if they could build something with the amount of knowledge they had and the few resources they started with, then certainly I can build something with all that I know and all the opportunities available to me.
Yes, not only do we at WA offer good information that changes the lives of people, but we also offer the WA opportunity for people to join and then they change the lives of people.
WA is a win-win. It is great to be part of a revolution!
