Nature is never finished nor are we
Nature is never finished. ~Robert Smithson
The Late Robert Smithson was an artist. He realized that nature is never finished with her works of "art." The beauty, the joy, the "ugliness", the pain—they are never completed in nature.
When we craft a work of art or literature or a speech or a blog post—we reach a conclusion and the story is technically over. But when people read or see those things, the story we have told—by whatever medium we've used—lives on.
Our work here at Wealthy Affiliate—the work of creating something helpful and long-lasting—is the same.
When we post an article that leads someone to solve a problem or to laugh or to be inspired or motivated—that thing that we wrote lives on. As long as someone is reading it or seeing it or experiencing it—it lives on and is never finished.
If you post a well-written article on shoes and it helps someone find a pair that is perfect for them—you have done your job. But the work isn't finished. Those shoes will have a story to tell as the one who wears them embarks on whatever paths they take.Your work isn't finished either. If you want to succeed you must write meaningful, quality posts and you have to do it over and over! That's not a bad thing! That's a good thing! We do this because we truly want to help others (and, let's be honest including helping ourselves). We write these posts because we have a story to tell, not just a product to sell! (Sorry, I couldn't resist the rhyme. I won't do it next time!)
Keep in mind that we are doing a job through our websites—and that our work, like nature's work, is never finished.
Best wishes,
Karin :)
