I'm still here . . .

I know you've probably all been wondering—Where's Karin? She used to write something several times a week. So where did she go?

I'm still here, I've just been working hard on my diabetes website which has been taking a lot of my time. I miss connecting with several of you, but I've realized that if I want to be able to stay home and work from home, I have to start really concentrating on my sites.

I live in Minnesota. If any of you are familiar with my state, you'll know that we are heading into a deep freeze over the next 48-72 hours. We are anticipating 30 below zero F and wind chills in the negative 50 below zero. I don't want to have to go out in that! I want to stay in my warm house with my fireplace going!

Sure, it's beautiful out there, but it seems like the brighter the sun is, the colder it is! Our area schools have already called school off for the next two days. Great news for my granddaughter! I wish I would be staying home with her.

I read an article today on the Jim Rohn Success Blog with the title—Stop Wishing for the Life

You Want. The post talked about ambition and what that is. One of the things that stuck out to me was this: True ambition is disciplined, eager desire.

This led me to thinking that if I truly "wish" to be able to stay home and do my work here, then I must have a disciplined, eager desire to do so. I believe I have the "eager desire" part down pat, now I just need to work on the discipline part. Therefore, I am working hard on my diabetes site and less hard on socializing!

But, honestly, I do miss communicating with many of my friends here at WA, so I won't give up completely! :)

I want to thank all of you who are making this experience a true blessing and a treasure to me!

Best wishes,
Karin

Stay warm ... and we will still be here whenever you feel like socializing but our priority should be on our websites and business first. Like you said if we want it we have to do it!
Love Jim Rohn very motivating speaker have read and listened to many of his things in the past. STAY WARM that is crazy cold

I'm in the Midwest with that crazy weather too. I hate cold weather!

I agree. We need to stop wishing for the life we want. We need to make it happen.

Very cold weather. Keeping warm where I am at as well. Persistent and be consistent is the key for sure to go forward. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Karin,
Stay inside and stay warm! Brrrrr! I just cold thinking about it.
Donna

Happy to know.

Karin,
When I lived in the Cities, we had a three-week period where it did go above -20 below. The only day the schools closed, the temperature was -50 below with -70 below windchill. I still had to go to work.

I live up north in Canada, to be more specific, Canada's Capital, Ottawa. The last few weeks have been off and on 'deep freeze'. It is times like these that I am grateful to not have to get up every day and go to work.

As for success, make up your mind and work at it .... you will be successful.

I am going to share a story with you. I hope this will inspire you and many others.

How many people truly understand how powerful our minds are?

Trust me, maybe more powerful than you actually realize.

Why?

I am sure there are many people within WA that suffer with chronic pain just like me. My chronic pain has got worse over the last few years.

My chronic pain reached its peak in the spring of 2016 with my mother dying of lung cancer. This made it very challenging for me to visit my mother the last few weeks of her life because I needed a cane or office chair to get around.

One of my biggest challenges to go with this issue was my financial situation. I had a great physiotherapist but couldn't afford to go nor spend much money on any other options. I did manage to find some inexpensive options that helps some.

Fast forward to today, I am walking hours at a time with little to no pain.

The question is ..... what did I do that I am now able to walk for hours with little to no pain?

In October 2018 I found a free online program that has helped change the way I am living my life today. In 2016 I would have never thought I would be walking as I am now.

This program which is something promoted on my site, helped me connect my mind and body. I know realize the power of our mind/body.

I believe this is a lesson for all those wanting to be successful in life.

Greg

Sure the power of mindfulness. Thanks for sharing

My pleasure and you're very welcome!

Greg

A burning desire to succeed will drive you to success. Keep up the good work.

Hi Karin,
I understand how you feel about the cold. I live in Alaska. It is in the 30s (ABOVE zero) here right now but it gets really cold sometimes. It rarely gets quite as cold as you have it now where I live near the coast but when I was growing up in the interior I experienced temperatures down to -30 and -40 quite often. One time I saw -60. This is true temperature without any wind chill.

We almost always have warmth when you have cold and vice versa due to the shifts in the air streams.

I hope you can dive in with great momentum and start making your dream come true!

Good luck!
Jessica

I think you have hit on something vital, Karin. I believe many, if not all of us have the desire, and it is often eager. It is the discipline part that is hard. If we can learn discipline, we can make this thing work!
