Do you want a different result?
Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you had made different choices?
Do you ever think that you could get different results—at any stage of your life—if you made different choices?
Nishan Panwar is the person this quote is attributed to. He undoubtedly was not the first person to come up with the idea, not will he be the last, but the quote is certainly relative to our journey as we create and work on our businesses.
If we want our websites to have different results, make different choices.
If we want our lives to have different results, make different choices!
Making Choices
My first year in college, I came home during the summer and needed a job. In order to get a job, I went through an employment agency in our area. To use their services, I had to first attend several days of classes for testing our aptitudes and stuff like that.
I was in the training with several people of all different ages and walks of life.
One of them was a mother of several children. She talked to us in the group about how much she would like to be a teacher.
After one of the sessions, I asked her why she didn't try to go to school so she could become a teacher?
She looked at me like I had at least two or maybe three heads and asked me what she would do with her children?
I was fairly naive then, but I told her I would get her husband to watch them while she attended classes.
Again, she gave me the look like I had multiple heads growing from my neck.
She told me about all the ways that it would be impossible for her to go to school to get her teaching license. She told me how impossible it would be to have her unemployed husband watch their kids.
She gave me a multitude of excuses as to why this would never work out and she would just have to keep her dream of becoming a teacher just that, a dream.
The point I'm making with this story is that she was unwilling to make another choice.
Yes, it would have been difficult to make a different one. It would have been a lot of sacrifice and work to do this, but she chose to not change her thinking and ended up with the same results she always got because she was unwilling to make a different choice.
The Definition of Insanity
According to a quote attributed to Albert Einstein, The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
How many times do we do the same thing over and over and over again hoping that it will give us different results?
How many times does it take us to realize that a different choice might lead to a different result?
The woman in my story above was not willing to make a different choice so she kept coming up with the exact same results. It was frustrating for her, but she was stuck. She was unwilling to make the changes that would yield her different results.
I've changed my mind on how to do things many times when things weren't working the way I wanted them to. But it took me a long time of "insanity" sometimes before I made the necessary changes to get the results I wanted to see.
Change is Hard
We all know that change is hard. I heard someone say once that the only person who likes change is a baby with a soiled diaper.
If you want different results, though, you will likely have to change your thinking and make different choices.Making different choices is not the end of the world, it's merely the end of that thought process that was holding you back from getting the results you wanted.
I'm making some difficult changes now with my Super Affiliate Challenge site because I want different results.
Change is what makes the world a scary and often a better place.
Let's make some different choices and start seeing the results we are hoping for!
Have a great week everyone!
Best wishes,
Karin 😁

You are so right Karin, I've used that quote so many times and think it's time for me to start making changes. Thank you Karin, awesome post!
You are so right. I've always loved that quote from Albert Einstein.
Our world is ever changing and we have to change and adapt with it, or be left behind. I think that's especially true in business and applies more so now than ever.
Cheers,
Michael
The speed of change can be frightening! But you are right, we have to keep up or we will lose out.
