A piece of Christmas candy in July

This morning I woke up singing a song that I knew from my childhood. I don't know who sang it, but it was on a country Christmas album that my parents had.

The soulful sounds of singing about the longing for that piece of Christmas joy in July. I can hear the singing in my ears and I woke up wanting that candy!

I can almost taste the candy cane...

I didn't know that Christmas in July was a thing until this morning when I attempted to look up the lyrics to the song, "A Piece of Christmas Candy In July." There are celebrations everywhere commemorating Christmas in July.

This got me to thinking about how we can make our blogs special all year around. We can make every day a special place on our blogs. I don't mean that every day we need to post something magical and lyrical and festive, but we can make each post special like we are sitting around a fireplace roasting marshmallows and talking with friends and family.

How so? You may ask...

When we write a post, we are writing, not for ourselves, but for others.

If I am writing a review post for a new air conditioner, I can write it in a familiar way so that people get a sense of who I am and why this particular air conditioning unit would be best for them, too. I might share a special moment spent with family where the air conditioner was particularly important to the event. Like keeping cool during a family get together during a heat wave.

If I am writing a review about Wealthy Affiliate, I might write about the "sweet" training. I might write about the "succulent" success earned through the platform. I might even write about the "satisfying" flavor of financial freedom!

The Delicious Ending

So you see, each thing we write can be made special if we just take the time to do that. It might mean something different for each person because everybody is unique, but the bottom line or the "delicious ending" is that people read posts that are well-written and flavorful. They

read posts that offer them solutions.

Solutions are what we are about. Giving our readers a solution to whatever problem they have that caused them to visit our website in the first place!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Great!!
That's right, the articles in our blogs must be solutions. Our readers should come to our blog with pleasure and say that here there will certainly be an answer to their problems. As you say very well, it is for them that we write, it is a very good thing if our blogs bring them comfort and answers to their problems and their questions. We are like beauty, social, mechanical, travel assistants, and many more...

Ingrid

So true, Ingrid. We are all of those things and more. It is wonderful that people can come to us for useful solutions and comfort.

Karin when I write or try to sell something to someone, I always try give what I consider to be one of the greatest gifts you can give someone... Empathy. I try to write or sell in a way that is tailored to their liking and the way they want to hear it. SO I guess I try to keep Christmas going all the time.

That is a great way to do it! Christmas all the time can be a wonderful time of year!

Well done Karin, thatโ€™s a brilliant way of thinking while writing a post or review. If you can get your potential customers to feel it on a personal level or bring them back to a happy moment in their life. Once they can relate on a personal level you have grab their attention, plus you will have gain there trust.
Thanks for sharing your insight.

Very reflective piece Karin and goes deeper than at first you might think. Full of audience focus and writing skills at its heart. Benefits verses features and so much more. Thanks for sharing.

It also made me festive, a big feat in July!

Thanks for sharing, I enjoy reading your posts.
