Hi all! πŸ‘‹

I just want to know what's the best domain ending for my website.

Is it .com or .info?

And could each of the two help on Google SEO or no

Yep .com if you can

Go for .com

I agree, go with the .com. .info domains are cheap the first year, but the price increases when you renew them. Also, when’s the last time you went to a site with a .info tld?

Hi Thomas !

Thanks for your invaluable insights.

I appreciate your reply.

Best wishes!
Karim

Hey

Hi πŸ‘‹ all!

I was just wondering if I can use my niche in my domain name.

Is it necessary to be optimal with Google searches or there's no relationship?

So much great adive there Karim, all sorted now?

your domain name doesn't need to be an exact match domain nowadays..
in fact if it is you will have a harder job ranking as google will keep an eye on you for spammy content...
so maybe have one related or brandable but not one like a keyword with high monthly searches...
good luck
phil

Hi feigned!

I appreciate your reply as well as your important points relating the domain name.

Hi

No not at all, for example Apple dot com doesn't sell apples vs tech gear.

How to choose a domain name

You can use Namemesh dot com - look in SEO & MIX columns

You can also use leandomainsearch dot com, you input a word and it gives you another

And godaddy valuation tool to find a memorable name.

However nowadays domains are not so affected by SEO vs writing quality rich content with good choice of keywords, latter of which would rank you in the search engines.

I would always go for a dot com domain name vs dot net or dot org as people's perceptions when they start typing they would typically assume it is a dot com.

I would not include dashes and check if the domain is copyrighted, trademarked and ' or registered to an established business. And make sure it is spelled correctly as it cannot be edited once purchased.

You can use Jaaxy fo find something suitable and along the metrics would also search if the dot com domain is available

Look for searches (avg.) above 30 and competition (qsr. ) lower than 100, the lower the qsr the better. Starter sites SEO greater than 95.

https://my.jaaxy.com/search/keywords

Good example Abie!
I appreciate the tips too.

Thanks 😊

So very welcome.

Hi - ideally, your domain name should relate to your niche but not necessarily describe it exactly. Visitors will find your website by the content you write, not by its name.

To the point >)

Thanks 😊

You're welcome. Makes sure you spell it correctly as it can't be changed later.

Alright πŸ‘

That's a great tip because I spelled my domain name wrong on one of my sites, so aggravating and a stupid mistake on my part, I added an extra i in tricks...ugh

Krissy

Hi Krissy!

I think it's most welcomed and recommended to ask ☺ questions at first, especially on the WA platform.

I already have some bad experience with domain names.

So I shouldn't make the mistake twice.

Here, people are helpful and friendly.

Best of luck Krissy

Karim

Yes, very important to ask questions. It took me over a week to realize I spelled my domain name wrong. Luckily it has been indexed and doing ok for the most part.

Krissy

It's good for you Krissy.

Best wishes

Hi there all !

I want to buy a domain name but don't know what are the prices or how is it going to be paid one time or paid per year?

I really need more explan

Hi
It is $13.99 for the year and you pay that every year
I hope that helps

Yeah. Sure πŸ‘ it did help

Awesome ;)

Renewable yearly, Karim! I do my with an automatic payment set up so that I don't have to worry about neglecting to do it, although they give you and advance 1-month to go reminder!

Jeff

Thanks 😊 Jeffrey

You're welcome, Karim! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

You have to renew it annually

Thanks Geoffrey 😊!

I appreciate your help.

It is on a yearly base you buy your domain name, here at WA, they are usually available for $13.99.

Hi man!

Thanks for answering my question.
I appreciate your support.

Hi

Renewable yearly a dot com is $14 / year privacy included (or 28 credits if you have them)

I would first figure out my niche and what I want to do then I buy a domain name, because once purchased and you changed your mind or made a mistake, you cannot edit the URL.

Unlike a siterubix subdomain, you can delete and start again. You can always move your siterubix subdomain to your dot com using the move feature found within site manager, an easy process.

Hi!

Thanks 😊 Abie for your answer.
I understand most of your answer except 24 credits .

Could you elaborate or simplify?

You can purchase or earn credits

Hi πŸ‘‹ all there!

As every beginner, trying to find my way through picking my related niche, I couldn't figure it easily.

I mean yea, I do know a lot about

I am having the same problem, finding a niche, there are so many and much you can look at, we will just brainstorm it and figured it out.
Thank you for sharing,

Hi !
Yes, picking a niche is very challenging.
Since our aim is to rank on Google in a few months.

Best wishes to you.

As a beginner, and your first website, my suggestion would be pick something you love. We all love to make money. And that is a big motivator. But you are going to be writing blogs all the time on your webpage. There is nothing easier than writing on something you love to do or are interested in. You will always do more research and write more frequently when you have a passion for something.
Let me tell you how I picked my first niche. I asked myself two questions 1. who do you want to serve? What kinds of people do you want to help? What is their demographic? Examples - Different age groups, Education status, Religion, income, gender, family life cycle, or socioeconomic status. ex. Parents, weightlifters, baby boomers, women. Once you pick who you are going to serve then,
2. What do you want to achieve? How are you going to help your clients? examples - Help people loose weight. Help people reach retirement. Help people learn how to set up a podcast.
You want to do something your clients want or need and what they are willing to pay for. I hope this helps
Michael

Hey
The Affiliate Bootcamp is the (make money online niche) I want to write lots of content addressing issues in making money. You need to see what type of audience (see resource below) you want to reflect on and resonate with you, may have knowledge with them and can reach out to them through your content. I was recommended to do the whole thing before starting work on my site and to only focus on wanting to do your own niche or the Bootcamp. For own I would choose something that resonates with me, could be a hobby, interest, a side hustle, something I know about and can write lots of original content. Anything rings the bell? it is important to know who your target audience is gonna be, who you are writing to and once you figure this out, it becomes easier coming up with a niche. Please reach out if you need help or a hand.
Wishing you well, continued success and a terrific day.

Hi πŸ‘‹!
I really appreciate your well-formed words about the idea of choosing a related niche .

I'll take your insights into consideration

Thanks

You're welcome.

Hi

A niche subject is something you are passionate and genuinely interested in could be a hobby or an interest, and know so well you can write plenty original content about.

ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

For example if you are in yoga
Yoga exercises for beginners

When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:

So I want to help people with ____________________ ?

Fill in the blank and you are going to get closer to a specific audience. Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to cover another subcategory.

See example blog post below Meanwhile I'd ask as many questions as I want to get clarifications,

Welcome to WA and our community.

Abie & AJ

Hi Abie!

I really appreciate your points
But I didn't your ideas well especially about own niche vs the affiliate bootcamp.

I need some clarification

We always recommend starting out with own niche vs the Affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive, you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able scratch the surface,

You'd also need to do the whole Bootcamp in its entirety before you can commence with your site.

Recommendation is to focus on ONE niche at a time, even Kyle himself would recommend the same.
