Hey guys,

I am in need of some advice here. It has been almost one year, by the end of december, that I created my niche website with the OEC training. Now one year later

Hi - your site is very confused, you are trying to target too many audiences. Google won't know where to place you in its rankings as you are not showing authority in a particular subject.

If I visited your site to read about home decor, but discovered there were only 3 posts on that subject, I would soon leave. Everything is quite generic and can be found elsewhere, there is nothing in-depth.

Its very pretty, and well-written, but unless you are a celebrity or paying Google, then lifestyle blogs are difficult to succeed with.

Nothing to stop you having a go at the MMO niche, but promoting WA is very competitive. Some MMO reviews are over 5000 words, so you will need to do some serious research on the subject.

Thanks a lot for your feedback Diane. I see I've got some reconsideration to do....

Karen--a lot of people here do this, so it's worth a try! I myself, will be eventually exploring the same thing. Also think I'm going to put a couple of my websites in maintenance mode and focus on a simple one with which to finish my OEC training! Best success to you in 2020!

Jeff

Hi Jeffrey, it's a difficult choice. If I start with the Bootcamp training, I would want to spend all my time doing just that. I would always be asking myself if my first site would have become successful if I had just continued with it...thanks anyways for your answer!

I'm certain you'll work it out, Karen--Good luck!

Jeff

Hey Karen, what's the link to your site? I'll take a look and see if I can make an educated guess as to why it's not working out for you.

Hi SquidS, it is perfectlyparfaite.com. Thanks in advance!

Took a peek. Seems to me you're going too broad with one site. You don't have to completely disassemble it. Maybe create a few different sites with some of the content you've already put time into. For example, take your most read articles and create entire sites based on the topic of each one. Only your most successful articles, and on topics you are genuinely interested in. Your site isn't about parfaits, I can see how that would confuse people. Try having domains that match what your sites are about. Work on a few sites at the same time to see which one works best for you.

Thanks a lot for taking the time. I'll consider your advice. To our success!

Hello everyone,

I am setting up my website for a couple of weeks now and as I want to reach a maximum of people, I have decided to do it in English.
&

I work for Awin.com, the largest affiliate network in the world. We have offices in 13 different countries and work with merchants based in countless countries.

Smart merchants know that sometimes people who live in other countries can be wonderful affiliates. Do know that there's some rules in certain verticals, like finance, which do require that the affiliate be in the designated country, but otherwise it should be fine that you aren't US based and still target the country. Keep trying other merchants, perhaps another network, and make sure your site looks like something these merchants would be happy to work with, and you should be fine.

Thank you for your advice Jeannine, I will continue my search!

Thanks a lot Telma, I will check those links.

I'm in New Zealand, but my target audience is in the United States. I am a member of the Amazon Affiliate Program, and have also just had success in joining affiliate offers for brands in my niche in shareasale and CJaffiliate. Lots reject me automatically for not being in the States, its just a matter of keeping on looking, I find. i've also joined skimlinks, which has several brands relevant to my niche. the good thing about skimlinks is once you've been accepted, you can use any of their merchants without individual approval. I'm yet to actually use it yet so don't know what its like but could be a good option

Hi Emily,
I have some networks as well, but wanted to find a program within my niche. I will definitely check skimlinks, thanks for the tip!

I did not know that some affiliate programs would want only locals. This is maybe the case with very local merchants and only local sales. The bigger companies and the larger affiliate companies will not have such restrictions. Try Clickbank, Rakuten or companies that deliver world wide.

Hi Jerry,
just registered with Rakuten! I will continue my search for niche specific programs.
Thanks for your help!
