God bless you all and Happy Thanksgiving. Ever since I've joined Wealthy Affiliates, I've been receiving many ads and promotions pertaining to affiliate marketing and websites
Great question. Clickfunnels is an autoresponder marketing system and they also have some pre-made email templates that you can use within your email marketing System.
Email marketing is simply capturing the internet user that comes on your website in hopes that you can retain them as a customer. You see most people come to your website and they read an article and they leave and so you never end up monetizing that lead. With email funnels/systems like clickfunnels, lead pages and thrive (probably the 3 best know - I use Thrive), you get a system that works in conjunction with your WordPress website and allows you to build pop ups and email opt-ins that allow you to capture the user to opt them into your email system.
From there, you use a system like aWeber to send that lead pre-made email messages that are beneficial to the user but at the same time are promoting whatever affiliate products you are promoting.
Email marketing isn't anything new, but it is important to incorporate it into your online business once you start to get some organic traffic.
I've done reviews on all three of the systems that I mentioned including the one you're looking at clickfunnels. It's the most expensive and is not my recommendation. As matter fact I've used leadpages as well and Thrive themes is my absolute favorite for having a professional theme that also includes a plethora of tools to help you create a massive email marketing system.

I was in click funnels for 1 year, ditch it after they raised prices and I had to start all over again as there is no way to migrate to WordPress. If you are building your own site, WordPress is good because because it is an open platform and you can protect your asset.
In short ClickFunnels is just a paid-for tool that enables you to create basic web pages. It's pretty costly & you don't need it because you have access to the SiteRubix platform here which enables you to create both simple AND complex sites :)
