Sometimes things get really FRUSTRATING! When progress comes to a stand still

Hi Guys

Today I noticed I cannot share any of my posts through Pinterest directly from my website, it seems the "Sociable" Plugin tool doesn't have the icon option when I go to settings.

I am slightly frustrated today because I feel I am paying to watch outdated training videos that lead me down a path I have to keep backtracking and this is very time consuming as some of you might know. It can take hours sometimes just to solve one small problem.

Additionally when I tried to ask a question today the "Submit your question" button is frozen or stuck or something because it doesn't want to go through. Here is a snap shot of the question that doesn't want to go trough:

Nothing happens when I click the blue button.

When I tried to get help via chat some member told me to "take my toys and go home" lol.

I would like to know two things please:

1. How can I insert the Pinterest Icon on my website through the sociable plugin tool? I have tried to find it under settings and its not there.

2. Why doesn't WA accept my question submission?

Would really appreciate some help here.

I had Pinterest for some years. I just Pin at pictures and that's all.

AT the risk of sounding redundant, have you checked with Tech Support for both WA and Pintrest?

Hi Kamil, I had the same problem as yourself with the pinterest issue so I took it off and use the social share boost along with sumo me. When you are putting up your question Kamil, are you remembering to pick what they call a classroom as it won't let you send the question if you don't.

I am sorry to hear that someone felt the need to be rude to you and tell you to take your toys and go home. That's disgraceful.

I did choose a classroom yes, its on the image I showed (Social Engagement & Marketing).

The guy wasn't that rude, I took it as a joke but yeah not necessary when I'm trying to find a solution to my problem :)

Unfortunately, I cannot contribute to your specific question because I don't use the plugin but I would like to comment on your general points if that is OK?

I hear your frustration about out-dated training but I think it is the nature of working online. It is a very fast moving environment and something that worked last month may not work now. That is the nature of the beast I am afraid. To invest too much emotional energy in this would be waste.

The inability to post a question sounds like a glitch. Again it happens. Can you find another way to contact support to get it resolved? Have you tried clearing down your cache or even using a different browser temporarily?

As for the lack of helpful comments from within the community itself, please remember that there are a large number of people on WA - in any group you will get a mix in terms of their willingness to assist. That is just human nature. I would be inclined to ignore the idiots and focus on the ones who do go the extra mile for you.

However frustrating these things are for you they are relativity low in the scheme of things - just background noise really. Sometimes, it is good to focus on another aspect of your online business and come back to these at a later date. As we know there is always something that we can be doing!

I hope that you are able to resolve these technical issues soon.

Thank you so much for sharing your insight here.

Cleared the cache which created a new set of problems now :D

Resetting passwords now and signing in as everything got cleared. Lets hope this helps clear the glitches at least. Its like trying to get out of a maze, sometimes you have to go back to advance forward hehe.

I do understand we can move on with other things but I cannot advance through certification if I do not complete the tasks Kyle trains us on. If we don't do the tasks properly or skip them, how can we expect great results right?

I am well aware that things are not easy here, it has been a constant battle to make progress but well worth it considering what I have learned. I actually wrote this post as part of a task (Course 4 Lesson 7) not just to vent my frustrations :)

As a result I hope many members will read what you have written here (excellent advice) and can see what to expect and how to deal with it.

Cool, I'm off to sort out this Social Plugin and Pinterest story ^^

I think Steve's advice is right on. I am not as far along in the certification as you are, but I have also had the occasional issue where the training seems a bit out of date. Although I've never tried using it, there is a "request update" button that you could click on. though who knows how fast that would be.

The worst part of your post, in my mind, is the idiot who told you to grab your toys and go home. One of the best parts of WA for me has been the community, but people like that bring it down.
