Something very interesting we should all start checking.
Hi Guys
I was wondering how our websites look on other computers.
Lately a member told me that my menu sucks and that he can't find the "Contact Us" email address :p
Is it really that bad?
So it came to mind that he was viewing it differently than me.
Here is a screenshot of my website the way I view it from my desktop.
1400x900 (19" Monitor).
I'm not sure why he could not find it...
Does the interface layout change on smaller screens? Besides tablets and mobile devices of course.
Should we report to one another if we see sites that look all messed up? I would appreciate it if someone told me my site looks messy.
Thank you.

Hi buddy this is not how it shows on iPhone as there is no menu visible and this I mean the bar in black !!!
All it shows is a small tab which shows munu and When you tap it just goes to the blog roll so with mobile it is not friendly
Hope that helps
Paul
I thought our websites are cellphone ready. Which would mean the screen size would automatically adjust to the device being viewed on. Ours is success and well being.
It depends on the theme you are using...Responsive themes do adjust, some of the older ones do not...Check out and upgrade if needed is my advice...Cheers! Dave : )
Yes it does/can change if your theme is responsive, and as Loes says, it could be either the user has increased desktop/window sizes/zoom, which will increase everything on the machine, browsers included, and the browser will still show only 100% because it takes this % from the underlying OS settings so if I have mine set to 125% in the OS the Browser shows 100% of base setting, which is 125% of the standard setting.
And/Or they could be using increased browser zooms....
Both of which will affect how the browser/viewport displays the content it is all to do with base font sizes, rems, ems, ppi, % and DPI.
That's correct to a large degree, though you should have some menu, which means you prolly want to check in your themes options to see if there is a setting of some description.
This is because the viewport shrinks as the screen size is reduced and your theme/code should be responsive which means when the viewport/screen size hits something like 640px (though this can vary) it will/should switch to 'mobile friendly' and your menu will become something like a hamburger menu...
You likely need to add some items to the 'mobile' menu for it to appear, because it will be using a different menu at that point because the main menu is no longer able to fit in the viewport/screen size.
Some themes will let you set the preferred screen sizes in px before shifting down/up for things like small/medium/large screen.
So I could tell my theme I want everything under 640px to be displayed a mobile friendly, everything from 640px to 1280px as medium and tablet friendly and everything above 1280px to treated as a desktop.
Though not all themes can do this easily, but you can modify it in the code.
As I say. check your theme/menus you may just need create a new menu and tell your theme which menu displays where and when, i have themes that have multiple menus for example for main, sticky, retina, sticky retina, tablet, mobile, retina mobile etc etc..each needs to be built and then the theme needs to to told which menu will go where and at which point in px.
Some are of course simpler with 1,2,3 maybe 4 menus and options.
Let me know which theme you are using I will take a look at it see if I can find the setting or even if it exists.
Songwriter by the look of it.
I just ripped this from your site

I just took a look and there is deffo a menu on mobile and on tab...
It is a dropdown menu...so dunno what the iPhone thing is about, could just be a smaller screen thing.
Well thank you kindly for that Neil!
Maybe his phone has some other options or something, I hate these mobile phones! :p
Saying all that, and back to your original statement regarding the about page.
I cannot see your about page either, but there is deffo a menu...on all of my devices...though i did find your page after a search.
Also could be because he has the screen zoomed in on 125% to 175%
Try the cntl and + and see what's happening
It is one of the options, you can check your website in other browsers too, check it up here
