Hey, for days I had the same problem, it turns out to be my server. Very, very frustrating, man. Gosh!

When I'm in my Dashboard and I open the "Pages", then "All Pages" I get a list of the pages I have written. To the left of each of these pages in the list, there are columns f

It sounds like you have All in One SEO plugin. If you fill these in with the title of your post along with a brief description then that is what will show up in Google when that post comes up. If you leave them blank, by default it takes the current title of your post and the first couple sentences and show these in Google. When I was using this plugin I left them blank.
