I am thinking the same too, some of my articles were indexed but my ranking only comes when I publish more articles!
Indexing can be almost instant (I have posts that indexed in less than a minute).
Ranking typically takes much longer. A site with some age does have an advantage as Google already knows of the site.

I want to add a few products to sell on my website. When I go to put the link I copied from my affiliate program site I dont have an html tab like it was shown on my training.
When you log in to Wordpress, top right there is Visual/Text. Select text and paste your HTML.

Thank you. I tried it and it worked. Only problem is I have to figure out how to spread the links apart so they are not sitting side by side. Just looks better with 4 or 5 listed per line rather than them on top of each other. How can I do that?
Hi Kevin you have to log into your website via WordPress and then go to the appearance tab, then to widgets, there you will see an area to put your HTML code
