I have 4 images on my page, all the same size (210x210), but Wordpress still manages to show them in different sizes. How is that possible and how can I change that? See the li

Well, solved it. I'm using a Custom CSS code. Somehow I messed up my graphic design, which was the reason my images were not the same size. Even though they all were 210x210.

Thanks for helping me @loes and @nathaniell

I see two rows of images. The top ones are all the same size, but not clickable. The bottom ones are bigger, but all the same size, and clickable.

Which ones are you trying to change?

Well, the top ones are all separate and I didn't at the link yet. The lower ones are combined in one image, and the links are done with image mapping. Which is not responsive for mobile and tablet.

But I think I found the problem. Somehow messed up my design, that's why they are not the same size :(.

Have you checked it up in customize size, click on the image, then the pencil and look if they really are the same

Have you added them in a table? Are you capable to make it as one picture? In pixlr?

yeah, they're the same.

If you make them one picture, it works (of course). But I want to have them linking separately to different pages. So I did image mapping, which worked great. But the problem is that this image (and its links) is not responsive, and the links don't work on tablet or mobile.

I added the image I made before (of the for images) plus the separate links (done with image mapping). But this doesn't work for mobile of tablet. http://throwbacknbajerseys.siterubix.com/the-jerseys

Linked they are the same size allright, you say that doesn't work for tablets? It looks much better.

You could try out the plugin WP Gallery Custom Links
You can add the pictures and add also seperate links to them

You have experience with this plugin?
It looks better indeed, on the computer. But on tablet and, especially, mobile, it doesn't work. And this is just a small sample size. With more images on the same page it will be a mess.
Thanks for responding! I'll keep on trying and let you know. I'm trying some things with Custom CSS as well, but no luck yet...

I like that plugin, I have it on 3 sites of my

Does somebody knows the percentage of internet users that search with quotations? When we look for our keywords / keyword competition, we use quotations. But in my life, I have

Using quotations is not supposed to mimic an Internet search. It's just to see which pages have the exact phrase you are targeting. Those are your competing pages. Search without quotes and by the time you reach page 4 or 5 the results become extremely irrelevant, thus are not even considered your true competition.

Let me know if that make sense!

Makes sense. Get the idea now! Thanks.

Made perfect sense for the first time ever. I knew it worked but couldn't explain it nearly as well.

Quotation search are used to find exact match of phrases you entered into the search box (which is done by keyword tool like here in WA or Jaaxy). Google will provide the best match from the keyword entered in the search box.

If you notice why there are thousand million pages when you searching with google, it is because google also give you the least match phrase you entered on the search box.

For more information, try search in question bar above WA and type why need quotation mark. You can find similar discussion with this topic like this one: Keep up with your training and you will rank good on google page eventually :)

Hi, thanks for answering and the link. Didn't see the discussion. Of course did a search through WA, otherwise I wouldn't have started a new one. I'm not particularly worried about my rankings, this will take some time.

I have started using quotation marks sometimes, especially when google starts throwing up loads of sites that aren't really relevant. I would image those searchers who are looking for something very specific because it is a good tool for getting rid of rubbish.

Once your site is more recognised your keywords will come ahead of these guys anyway.

The quotations really don't come into play like you think. Just follow the training and then when you see your posts rank you will understand this. (don't worry, You are now the only one to question this, I did too)

Ok. Well, let's see :) I was just curious about the influence of the quotations, since it is a big part of the way you do research on keywords.

I still don't understand how the Quotation marks don't influence the ranking, but I can attest to the fact that my keyword rank as they should regardless of the quotes
