I successfully uploaded my logo on my webpage, but I lost the tag line and cannot get it back. I tried re-entering it under header text, refresh, but it will not appear. Any idea

I have included the website name and tagline as part of the logo on one of my websites. As judebanks says a lot depends on your theme. I also found out that even refreshing the page does not work if you have WP Super Cache installed and activated. I have had to deactivate that plugin when I'm working on a website so I can see what I have changed. ~Marion

Thank you for your response. I'll keep the tag line out for now and add it later.

It depends on your theme as to what can be done. Some themes are more flexible than others when it comes to logos and taglines.

Check your theme options in the Header customization section to see if there are any choices for adding a tagline after a logo image has been added.

An alternative is to have your logo and tagline done as part of one logo image.

It could be that your logo has taken up too much space not leaving enough room for the tagline.

The site title and tagline are set in the coding of the theme.

If you know CSS code, you could go into your style.css and widen the space between your logo and tagline by adding more padding in pixels between your logo and the tagline field.

If you don't know CSS, it is better if somebody does this for you, as you can mess up your site if you don't know what to do.

Have you checked with your theme's main website or forum. Type the theme name + forum into the google search field to find it.

If the above does not help, post again and give us the name of your theme.

ok, maybe my theme only allows the tagline with the text than with a logo. That's fine. I'll advance on it later. As long as I have the logo, I'm fine. Thank you for your help

Depending on your theme, I would say that it is likely that your logo will take away your tagline and your header text. If you want to confirm this, you could try to go back to the header text, and if this works for showing the tagline then it is more likely to be a result of the logo taking it's place :)

Hope this helps!

I believe that is what happened. Ok, that's fine. Thank you

I received a temp. logo from cool text and want to replace the current header text with my logo. I was given a html address that I need to copy and paste somewhere so this logo

The logo is a graphic, you need to put it in header image. Then go to Appearance - Site Title and tagline, and remove the titile and tagline.

Thank you. I'll give it a shot

Ok, the image came up which was Great! :) But now I lost the tag line. I'll ask the question in the class room
