From reading that I think it's only your nameservers which will be changed. You'll need to back up your website before you do that. Does iPage have WordPress? I've never heard of them before and it seems like it's going to take an extraordinary length of time for them to make a transfer which can be done in minutes or hours not days. ~Marion

they requested I change the NS1 and NS2 at godaddy and ask godaddy to send me a transfer authorization code. I figured that out. Hopefully they will do the rest as they suggested they would.

Just showed up as an Administrator and is adding content to my website.

Thank you so much this has happened to me and I have 850 posts

Go to "Settings" in your Dashboard and then uncheck the "Anyone can register" box. Then go to "Users" and delete the unwanted user.

Thank you very much! It worked!

And don't worry, these people CANNOT add content to their website. These are just automated bots that sign-up when you don't have this box unchecked and ultimately it does no harm to your site other than act as a nuisance any time you get notified that someone registers.

Thank you.

An affiliate marketplace is asking me to add an HTML Meta Tage ?

I don't think there's any harm in doing what they ask. Just go to appearances-->editor, then choose whatever file they want you to edit from the right.
Alternatively you can add a met tag right into one of your pages if you view it in text mode and not visual mode.
Try it and you will se what I mean. Glyn

It's a Zanox publisher account. I don't understand it so I won't join. It's free but since I don't understand what it does I will skip it.

This is probably to confirm your ownership of the site, no? It's asking you to add some code to a section of your site. Are there any other options for confirmation?

Most affiliate programs require you to verify in some way or another. Uploading a file via FTP is a popular method, but they usually have other ways to do it as well.

Most places are very willing to work with people, so if you shoot them an email, they may be able to send you a set of instructions they have.

Thanks. I passed on this one because it was something called Zanox and it didn't look right.

Trust your gut. If it didn't look right, you are right to pass on it.

I have my top bar created and now want to add a sidebar where I can keep spec sheets for the products I am reviewing.

You can also create a "custom menu", then put a custom menu widget in your sidebar.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-dashboard-tutorial-menu

I guess I wasn't clear. How do I put something like "click here to go to specs" and it goes to the specs widget?

Oh, so you want a different widget in the sidebar for each page? I think that's going to complicate stuff for you right now.

My advice is if you want a separate spec page for a review, you can just link within the body of text, and link to the separate page you have for specs.

But is there a reason you don't want to include the specs in the actual review?

This depends a great deal on your theme. Some themes support sidebars and some do not. It takes a bit of experimenting.

Oh! That would be the link creator button. In the Page or post editor, it looks like a chain link. I'm including a screenshot to make it more visible. http://take.ms/STMbt

First, you write out what you want your link to say, then you click the button. You have the link to the widget ready and paste it into the box. Box looks like this: http://take.ms/2G6M9

I usually add it using a sidebar (Widget). http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/text-widget-links/
