have you followed the tutorials here? There are lots of them so try using the WA search bar for tutorials and give it another go.

I am looking for a new niche since my last one bombed seriously. I was given the advice of finding something that makes me feel alive. The reality is I feel incredibly strang
The one that "bombed," what was that? I think you might want to revise it because chances are it was something that you had a passion for. Let us help you find keywords for that one.
Then, think of five things that you really love to do, to make, to work with, to talk about. Then we can work on key words for that one.
Remember that you use some key words in your blog, and these two things may help you out.
My faith and love of freedom. The care for children, puppy dogs, and the drive to protect innocents and to stomp out oppression wherever it rears its ugly head and the gift of being able to help my fellow man.
To understand that someone who LIVES looked beyond my faults and saw my needs. For this cause, I bow my knees, because I am overwhelmed.
I have always been involved in things such as home improvement and how to do stuff.
I believe I have the gift of teaching and this works well with step by step stuff such as home plumbing, building things, fixing things and the like.
This opens up for me ebooks, whether from another writer or my own. Ther are also many products that have a similar theme and fairly nice commissions involved.

Need some help. I am abandoning my current sites and topics in search of a new niche. How did you go about finding your niche? And has anyone else decided to let go of one n

I have recently found someone here at WA who had several niches become one "stuck" .
Long story short (three years down the track) he is now achieving the success I dream off.
Stay the course Rocky, I know you've got what it takes to make things work online.

I am going to watch for the answers you receive. I may have chosen too broad a niche. This is hard, isn't it
I have seen reports that it is a good idea not to change too quickly, to give it some more time. I just looked at your site, yesterday, it was great!
I just now revisited the site and also went to your facebook page and forwarded your promotional gift card message.

I have been working on these sites for the better part of 10 months. I just joined WA two weeks ago. I built everything myself; every error, every failure, every small success. I joined WA to get new insights and I set up a meeting with my local small business association called the WKU Career And Development Center here in central Kentucky. After an hour and a half later, we brain stormed, researched and ran ideas only to figure out my site's name may be too generic on Google and also my topic was too broad. I have lots of ideas, but I can't settle for one. The guy wants me to give up entirely, and use what I have as a resume builder.
Thank you for your help and support and encouragement! I know that it is hard to do anything we really care about. But I believe that we can do it! If a new niche and relaunch is what we need, we'll find it! We just have to keep trying. Lynne, I believe in your abilities and your skills. Being here at WA just proves we want something better.

Sounds like I need to make it a priority to get down to my local SBA chapter!
We've got to learn how to settle for a narrower niche and come back to create more niches to satisfy our desire to cover more area of our general interests.
So when we get one niche up and running and have income generating from this, add another website and groom each one gradually.
Did you see the blog about not rushing, taking time away from learning? Those of us who have to keep a day job may actually have an advantage, in that we have to break away and come back to work our own businesses and do not get brain overload.

If you had an extra 3 hours a day to do exactly what you want to do, what would you choose to do? That's your niche.
