I cannot seem to add pictures to my blog posts either. I click the add media button, then I click the images I would like and for some reason nothing happens after that. It's like the website temporarily freezes or something and I don't get an image because of it. Has anyone else had this issue? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Go to the page your created, open it in visual mode (you have to wait seconds to be uploaded or scroll down if you write it in text mode)

Then you click the button up (media) to upload the photo. Window will be open to ask you upload from your PC or use site photo. Hit upload photo from your PC, select the photo and look on to right side to edit it for high, width, thumb line, or medium or large and then click update.
