Gaining back momentum

I was going to write a post about returning with full force after my mid summer holiday last weekend but I had to be honest with my self. The "full force" didn't quite happen so the process has been more like gaining back momentum.

The beginning of the week was very hard as I was having tough time producing content and even my WA ranking has plummeted as I haven't managed to interact here as much as before.

Fortunately I managed to write a post on my site and I'm finishing the second post of the week probably tomorrow. I feel like things are picking up again. Writing is becoming easier and I'm finding my motivation and drive once again.

I try to keep the grand goal in my sight. This takes time and if I fail in my goals one week, it really doesn't matter that much in the big picture. Just can't let it become a habit. Returning to a good flow and gaining back momentum after a break is always harder than pushing forward steadily. It's just inertia, just like in the physical world.

I take it this game asks for endurance and perseverance. A story about a rabbit and a turtle comes to mind...

The picture is from Bengtskär, the southern most habitet point in Finland. There is just that light house on an almost empty rock island. We spent the midsummer there and if you ever happen to visit Finland I can highly recommend the place. The lighthouse is a hotel so you can spend the nigh and the place is very beautiful, almost magical.

This happens when you've been working at it and feeling like it's taking forever. I hit writing blocks too and just have to take a break. I also notice that if I don't write down an idea that comes out of nowhere I lose it. Try putting it in your phone to retrieve it later when you're in writing mode. I find that after 54 posts I'm repeating posts with different information. It's all helpful and the right people will get that post right when they need it. Thank you for writing this as I'm experiencing it now as well. Hope to visit Finland someday!

That's it man keep it up and never give up. Thanks for the hotel recommendation anyway, cheers.

Thanks, I won't! And you're welcome.

Good to know, cheers!

Hi Jukkah. I hope you enjoyed your time off. Getting back into the grind is sometimes hard. But, you will and hopefully, you will be better than ever, after your brief rest.
All the best,
Wendi

Thanks Wendi! Things are definitely picking up again, just have to keep pushing.

Thanks for the encouragement David!

Greetings Jukkah! I hope this finds you well and inspired to keep pushing forward. I am sure that everyone hits that wall, and it is not how many times you fall but keep getting up, that counts!

A break is sometimes what we need to gain a new perspective. It sounds like you are getting back in the saddle and the writing is coming along.

Keep your head up and seeing the big picture!!

Nancy

Thanks Nancy! It's definitely most important to keep on working hard to see results. I'm in this for the long run.
