Is It Too Late To Start A Blog?
We were out with friends the other day and when the topic of online marketing came up in conversation a friend asked if it was too late to start a blog. After all people have now been "blogging" in one form or another for 19 years now.
While that might feel like forever in terms of internet time and maybe some people would assume that the ship has sailed nothing could be further from the truth.
I really think that even for someone who hasn't got any experience whatsoever online that this is the very best time ever to begin a blog and to get started in online marketing.
When you look at the access to tools that we have that let us create beautiful images for free, the power of being able to connect to a world wide audience for free on social media and the access to virtually anything you need to know for free 24 hours a day it's mind blowing.
And then when you couple all of that with the power of the Wealthy Affiliate community it's absolutely stunning. Consider the cost of your membership and the services it's providing you... you're getting world class amenities that keep getting better and the chance to network and grow with awesome truly helpful people. That's a win.
So I believe it is important to encourage people to begin. After all the job market is shifting and changing and it's so important to have other streams of income and to have the knowledge of how they can actually be created.
One of the most important things when you're beginning is to have fun with it, enjoy the process and have confidence that you will figure it all out and make it work.
And never compare your beginning with someone else's present. You have no way of knowing how much they have invested from a time or financial point of view. Even the most polished marketer today was rough and imperfect in the beginning.

I want to add, it's not "blogging" per se, but the multitude of skills we learn during the process that will never go out of fashion.

I agree Judy it’s not too late, like a few good folk have already mentioned.
I am no longer young in body, but right now I am thrilled to have achieved what appears to be one small insignificant step and yet it is a giant leap for me.
I was surrounded by high tech equipment but have a low tech mind..and yet here was I setting up my own website, it is such a powerful positive change of mind set.
Even if I sell bugger all and make not one jot of money for 6 months, even a year, I am still a winner.

I totally agree. I actually believe this is the best time to start as they're is so much more opportunity online than ever. Buying online has become mainstream now and most people research on Google before buying.

It is never too late to start a blog Judy. As the internet grows there will be room for many blogs covering a multitude of subjects.

Hi Judy, I would really like to start writing a blog but it seems like I just do not have a creative mind. I am really interested in affiliate marketing but it is very difficult to come up with something fresh to write about. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I think the most important thing is to find something that's interesting to you... makes it easy to create content because you're genuinely involved in what you're working with.
And it definitely doesn't have to be fresh material. It's often better to work with something that's already successful that other people are interested in that you give your own unique voice and perspective on.
You'll find your audience grows overtime as they are drawn to your personal spin on things. It's a great way to weave the right affiliate offers into your content. Hope you find something you like and remember it's always a work in progress. :)
Judy, Thank you so much for your words of advice. I plan to do some research and look at some other blogs and articles on affiliate marketing as this is where my interest is. I do understand that it will always be a work in progress even after success.
