Profile: ~ Judy Goff ~ Las Vegas
I like to think of myself as a net-prenuere. In 2006 I switched to working exclusively from home in Las Vegas.

My early years were spent growing up in the Chicago suburbs.

My Mom started me in cosmetology school early. It was the 60's. Oddly, they never mentioned college to me. I guess they figured I'd get married.

I did very well as a stylist, but I always admired people who were the salon owners. So over the course of the next 30 years I developed salons and a spa with various business partners.

I got into Amway in the early 90’s. My first intro to network marketing and direct sales. My salon manager pitched me, I didn't want him to quit so I joined.

Until then I had never heard of network marketing.

The self-development was what really hooked me. That and thinking of that $10k a month paycheck, all residual income like the royalties Elvis got.

In 2003, I sold out my half of our spa and exited all the employees and drama...
(try watching a salon reality show sometime and you’ll see what I mean by drama)

I rented a chair and had some peace in my life.

It was a nice break from all that responsibility. My sons were off on their own. My 25 year marriage was ending.

The MLM culture was a lifesaver.

I jumped to several different companies in the following years. Through it all,
I’ve made friends I never would have met otherwise.

I made it to the top 5% of income earners in my field.

In 06 prior to a business trip to Vegas for a Xango event, I went on Match.com to see if someone in Vegas wanted to meet for dinner and a show.

The result?

No one messaged me back while in Vegas.

But - upon my return to Nebraska, I got a call from a Vegas ER Doc whose profile I had messaged. I met the love of my life and moved to Vegas. We married 1 day after my divorce was final.

OK, new life, new city... I didn’t want to work in salons any more.

So, I concentrated on my direct sales business.

I joined the Las Vegas Chamber, BNI... I networked to recruit and build my sales.

And ... I got really tired of pitch marketing. I got tired of being the hunter. I was tired of the drill,

3-way calls
home meetings
driving all over Vegas to show people a business presentation at Starbucks.

I wanted to learn how to market online, to have people hunt for me. And I knew the people making the big checks were using the internet to brand themselves.

I started to ask questions at events as to how people were doing. What their checks were. People were struggling everywhere - except the ones who had mastered YouTube, FB, social media, blogging and online marketing.

A friend introduced me to a company that sold digital information products specialized to train business owners on marketing and using blogging to build and brand their businesses. I was in.

And now, that’s my primary product.

Learning these skills requires a lot of hard work and focus. Maybe less if you have a teenager in the house. But the marketplace searches for "work online" and "work from home" top the keyword searches. The demand is there.

The learning curve? It's sort of like when we first automated our salons with computers. It was culture shock! But then it was "Aha".

Look at the number of people on Wealthy Affiliate. We all want to know the secrets.

I still market my first love health and wellness, cause if you don’t have your health, money can’t fix it.

Good to meet you! Check me out on YouTube and leave a comment. I will do the same for you. :)
