Perception of life
I am fascinated with many words and their meaning. One of those words I am fascinated with is the word 'perception'. As stated in Oxford
- the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses." the normal limits to human perception
- the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted." Hollywood's perception of the tastes of the American public"
It always fascinates me to think and realize how we all experience, feel and think differently about the same things we can hear, see and feel. How the same words have a different meaning to all of us.
I visited the GP this week for my eldest daughter. This is a true challenge as she is feeling very anxious to visit doctors.
I was trying out a new GP this time who is supposed to be very good with children.
While I was waiting for our turn I realized that my values and perception of a good doctor had changed.
One of the things I would have rated as very important previously is that the doctor runs on time.
I came to the realization that this aspect for me is not very important anymore. My perception has changed. For me, it is important this doctor actually takes the time to listen to us and don't look us out of his the door to run on time.

It is important to me that he helps us to build positive experiences for my daughter to visit a doctor so she may be less anxious in the future.
To me, it is fascinating how your perception of subjects change throughout your life.
They are not right or wrong and there are millions of different ways we will look at the very same thing. We all have different experiences, knowledge, gens, circumstances and backgrounds.
How different will we all look at the concept of Wealthy Affiliate? We all see different difficulties, different possibilities. We all understand the training different and we all will build very different unique businesses.
Every single one of us has a unique individual perception of how the world 🌎goes around and how success and happiness looks and feel like.
Perception makes the world an interesting place!

You are so very right about the importance of perception. Particularly in business, the perception of consumers is a huge part of success. We all need to be aware of how we perceive things and how others perceive us and what we do. Thanks for reminding us.
Yes, thanks for wording this so clearly. Many misunderstandings are a good example of this too. We send a message but the receiver might perceive it totally different than the message we have intended to send across. Same in business, when we try to sell a product but our audience don't understand or misunderstand what we try to say. Thank you for your response, I appreciate it. Jude

Hey Jude, you hit on the right point. In marketing. It is ALL about perception.
Eg.
Real value versus perceived value
(Difference between the cost of a Generic handbag versus Hermès, all things being equal)
Glass half filled with water, is the glass half full or half empty?
So, our world may be a big grey area influenced by perceptions...
