Clarfication on image use Amazon Australia
I hope it saves time for a potential reading family, just a short blog post from me to share with WA members and to potentially safe them a lot of time to gain an understanding of Amazon guidelines in Australia.
Even though the Australian Amazon explains how you can choose a text plus image option for your website, this is not true for Australia. The only way they provide you with the option to use their product images is after you qualify for the 3 sales in 180 days.
I have asked the question of a screenshot would be acceptable to be able to use an image in the product review we write but unfortunately, this is bit allowed too.
Please find the email response from Amazon for complete information, I hope It saves one of the readers of this blog time to get a clear understanding of this topic as the differences with American and Australian Amazon are not the same.

Wow, that is very interesting. So, what you are saying is that you would need to purchase the product and take your own photos in order to have photos of the product, correct?
Thanks for the information. Not sure if this is how it works in the United States, but you have provided me with a question I will surely ask when I get to this point in my journey.
Thanks for the heads up,
Greg
I am pretty sure US is different. It must be an Australian thing but it is in my opinion pretty inconvenient. You can use fotos of your own I think but you have to meet quality requirements etc or there maybe different loops to jump through but for me it is a bit complicated. I have smaller merchants I work with who are a lot more accommodating in my needs to promote their products. Best wishes Jude
