Empower Network?

Last Update: July 01, 2013
Thoughts, opinions, success, failures with Empower Network?

I know I have the money to get started, but is there too much competition within the program to become another success story? Are the upsells essential to success within the program?

Thank you,

Justin

Just a further observation. It's interesting (to me) that people who profess the highest ethical standards can still become the aggressive sales machine which success in EN entails. A couple of us here have made the point that we're Christians and have seen that in part as a reason for turning our backs on the offer of EN membership. But one of my friends and several of his friends are also Christians, so it's important to see that sometimes the need to earn big money quickly can over-ride our natural BS and ethical filters.

Now, to be clear, I don't believe that religious people have a monopoly on ethical behaviour; far from it, and sometimes we can be the worse possible examples. But I find it happily reassuring that there are so many people here who may need money NOW, but who are also aware that a decent, ethical income takes time to build and have chosen that route despite the financial pressure that some must be under.

Just read this blogpost. I am a medical doctor and have only been computer literate for about 4 years now since I bought my own practice and was forced to run it with all the technicalities involved. For about 3 years I have known that you can make money over the internet. For about 2 years now I have wanted my own website and for about 3 months now I have been hunting the internet for money making opportunities. This is my 3rd week in WA.
I also went on reviews and on one of the sites I saw that Empower network got a good write-up. I was going to join them for what I thought was regular training. I have been getting regular emails from them and also seen videos, but very little of it had any real substance at all. I have never seen so many Squeeze pages in my life. Some videos take 10 min countdowns before they will start playing. Most of it is simply promotional material designed to work on your emotions and get you to sign up without telling you from the outset what you are in for. A lot of them promise a free offer only for you to find that they want you to upgrade for more expensive products that you have not bargained for from the outset. If I want to make money or start up a business I need to know what the startup expenses are going to be.
Most of these products come with a money back guarantee and I am wondering what the real conversion rate is if they need to refund money. Quite frankly I think that their methods are devious if not outright dishonest and I have been asking myself if I should even employ such methods? I am a Christian and know that I should be honest and ethical.
I stumbled across WA reading about scams I think, and signed up when I saw how structured they are. They give you all the tools on one website, step by step guidance and fantastic support , also from the members themselves. This is the first program I have seen which actually teaches you, starting with the basics.
I am glad that I did not sign up with Empower network.

An American friend of mine, a fellow Christian no less, told me about EN and how he was a member, as were a couple of pastor friends of his, which for me was a high endorsement. In fairness, I'd seen his blog and asked about it so he didn't hunt me down in any sense. However, it only took a few minutes on Google to get to the bottom of things, and one of the sites I landed on was our good friend Kyle's expose of EN.

Of course, the comparison between WA and EN was Mother Teresa vs Adolph Hitler, so I signed up here. I hadn't been looking for an MLM either, but I did get to see David Woods 22 minute non-stop hype of his system. That boy never stops; he must breathe through his ears.

Anyhoo, here I am recommending this place to all and sundry because within a VERY short time I've seen Kyle's attitude to scams, realised that this is WYSIWYG, and been encouraged by Carson too, and all before I'd parted with a penny, which I absolutely chose to do because a). It's worth it, and b). I'm not a taker. These guys are no doubt well off, but at least they realise that me being well off too can only be good news for them. I aim to do well off the back of my hard work and their (and your) help, not off the back of someone else's $3,500 cheque as they fall for my BS.

After 8 years I hope they'll still be around too.

Hi, to Paul and Savvy State...I'm probably a little dense, but is what you boys are saying about Empower Network, is it snark, I hope? I was caught in the QUIXTAR scam and I gave it my all and didn't make a penny. I never totaled up how much I spent because it would have really made me very SICK. I can't understand how people can do these rotten things to other people. I really thought it was a great thing for people, until someone sat me down and started to ask me a lot of pertinent questions about the deal, questions I had a lot of trouble answering because the scales began to fall from my eyes and I was horrified. I only thank God that the people that I signed up under me had the good sense to drop out after a couple of weeks. A couple of months ago I got a letter from a gov't agency who wanted to know what my loss with Quixtar had been, because they were making Quixtar pay a few billion to their former "distributors". I can't believe how dumb I was...My upline was telling us that the more we spent, the more we would earn. One of the hard questions that my savior was asking me was, "How could you possibly even THINK of paying $82.00 for a bottle of vitamins? Do you REALLY think the stuff you are paying through the nose for is really worth that kind of money, which you obviously don't have?" I probably should have gotten mad at him, but I've always had trouble fighting reality when it kicks me in the head and has thus gotten my attention. I didn't get anything back from the gov't investigation because I had thrown everything away and tried to put it all behind me. I had used my rent to buy stuff from Quixtar, and so I lost my lovely apartment and had to move back in with relatives...
Well, it's a NEW DAY here at our blessed WA and I KNOW I'm going to make it all back and then some! Water over the dam, and all that. But I'm left with the knowledge about myself that I am a very gullible and naive person and it could happen to me all over again, because some people never learn, and I am one of those. That's why I unplugged myself from all the guru's mailing lists that I was on, and why I am so happy to be here at WA. Because at WA, we are totally safe from scams! And that's a FACT...

I am as we speak an empower member since apr and my experience and advice to anyone thinking about it. Don't do it unless you really want to take a chance and know what you are doing and have money to burn. I beleive personally the only people making money are the one's that have been in since day 0 . The newbies struggle your sponser get's you in treats you good for a couple of days if your lucky than he's gone. I don't like to talk bad about people but all I can say is don't waste your money. I have learned more here in 2 or 3 day's than I learn with them since apr. 27 2013 now if that is not telling you something I don't know what else to say. It's all hype you have to lie to people to get them to sign up and that's not my cup of tea. Why would I tell you I made 3,000 last week and you can to and I really didn't make a dime. I cancelled my acct so i guess that makes me what they call you a wussy with an extra $125 that 's alright with me I can invest that money elsewere. I love wealthy Affiliate and what they offer I rather get legitamate commission than wait and work for something that's not coming. WA I'm ready to get the word out.

Onya Skylarblue! I'm an ex EN member too. I hung around on the $25 level for about 2 months.I think my (gut) instinct aka common sense, thank goodness, kept me in check from even thinking about coughing up more dough for the $100 level. Something (actually heaps) just didn't seem right. The language used by some people and distinct lack of concern from some members to those struggling and asking for help on the EN forum is not good - there's not enough space here to write about the bad stuff. Welcome to the world of WA - helpful, caring, and wow not a wussy in sight. Aaahh, so refreshing :)

I looked at EN at one point when I received and e-mail inviting me to join their LIVE webinar. The webinar was obviously NOT live since it was May when I watched it and they were all sitting around a big room with a Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations. I did not like the vulgar language that they used, and it seemed to me that Dave & Dave were there to intimidate people into buying into their scheme. I was not impressed and I have never even looked at EN again. I delete any e-mail I get from anyone that even remotely mentions EN. I just questioned their integrity! Stick with WA and you will not go wrong!!!

Hey guys - I'm a complete newbie here at W/A - but; I can tell you a lot about E/N - you see, I was "in" - paid a lot of money and got "tripe" even without the onions !!
When I realized what a SCAM they were, I emailed them wanting my money refunded !!
I received NO replies about that subject from E/N itself (Or the two co-principles, Dave & Dave) !! - but what I did receive was an emphatic "no-way" from one of their affiliates (name of John Lavenia) who was the one who actually issued me with a receipt for the money I paid to E/N !!
He maintained that monies were only refundable within three days after my enrollment which was actually the first time I had heard of that - the two co-principles had offered me a 60 day no-risk deal which meant I could get my refund any time I wanted within those 60 days, no questions asked !!
I have reported them to my bank's fraud department and look forward to receiving my refund some time !!
Another one of their affiliates who keeps pestering me to "buy" more, is Troy & Melissa, a couple who maintain that E/N is the best, but looks to me like they were fighting to get me under their sponsorship !!
By the way, the products which they insist "you must buy to be able to get into their inner circle" do not exist - they are imaginary and they wanted me to buy them and then sell them to my followers (over $5000 in all and that's over ZAR53 000 in my South African currency) - Wow am I thankful that I did not pursue - I found out in time that they are the biggest SCAM at present on the internet - so all I really lost was about $550 !!
There's a fellow linked with Empire Network, name of Wayne Dryer, who has made a video of this bunch of SCAMMERS proving them to be what they really are !!
I sincerely hope this helps others NOT to fall for E/N's SCAMMING tactics !!

But here's some advice to take the pain away,,,Just work as hard as you can right here at WA and before you know it, you will have made back all the money you lost and then some! And then, down the road, when their Karma finally catches up with the two Daves, You'll be sitting pretty, drinking a MaiTai on a tropical beach somewhere and you can think of them scrounging out a measly living because all the suckers already know all about them. Almost getting mixed up with EN, and researching it, stumbling onto Kyle's review, is what lead me to WA. So I guess I should thank EN, LOL.

My thing with them is this....even if they were actually selling a reasonable product, which they are not, the methods they teach are embarrassing and without integrity. I was weaseled to En from InstantPaydayNetworks, something a few members of EN started. It was free to get "in" so I started looking around. It is extremely watered down information, but the little bit of "training" you do get blatantly shows you how to hide the actual affiliate link behind a fake website name to link in Craigslist. The fact that Craigslist shuts down any post with IPN or EN links is already a red flag, but to encourage deceit, that's just a good sample of what to expect with the whole company and process, in my opinion.

The funny thing about getting "in" is you immediately have access to seeing how you were tricked into it in the first place, how the process of psychologically manipulating you worked. And people see how they were fooled, but turn right around and try and fool others. Craziness.

WA has been straightforward from the start. They didn't promise riches. They promised success, and YOU get to decide what success is to you and reach for it. Teaching you to set goals for yourself is an overall good thing in and of itself, not just in marketing and entrepreneurial endeavors, which shows the integrity of WA in my book.

Niecey,

I was just thinking the same thing - that EN led me here! LOL I know several people who are involved in EN, and two are making money...BUT....they have been doing IM for a long time AND have a huge following (one is a trainer and the other is a coach). What disturbed me the most is that these people were "normal, low-key 'if it's not right for you, then no problem'" people before joining EN. All of a sudden I hear things that are demeaning for just trying to ask questions. That struck a nerve with me. My gut had told me the first time I saw the videos that it wasn't all up and up, but I looked again a few more times (even hearing about the upsells) because one of the folks who's making money is someone I have followed for years, and bought almost all of her trainings. Interestingly enough, this person does NOT link to the EN powered blog first. She has her own blog, on her own domain and then she has a link to joining her that leads to the join page. I didn't even realize this until now, lol. I personally HATE upsells (hate those OTOs too!) and it seems that this is all they do.
Luckily I am a details person and anything that I have to pay for monthly is a bigger deal for me than a one-off purchase.

Anyway, I do have to give those folks promoting it and EN itself a thank you for leading me to WA. :-)

Hi Fellow WA members, I agree with your post's re EN. Justin I'm glad you've decided not to go with EN. I know you were tempted and it was your choice whichever way you went. EN is all about the money. If you'd thrown all your money into it, you'd have been desperate to get it back as soon as possible. Some EN members are like vultures homing in on anyone - they forget some of us are decent people with a conscience, not like them. EN is about getting "people" in and grabbing every dollar you can out of them. There is no real product or business building. What they "sell" for want of a better word, you never own - you can't download it or keep it and it can be found for free elsewhere. EN's a ripoff. Congrats on staying here!

It's that doubt that causes a lot of people to hang on to their EN membership or even feel like a "wussy" if they don't go all in. The "success" stories from the less than 1% keep people hooked and confused about whether quitting is a good idea, especially if they have already invested a lot of money. It is only months later, after they have thrown away a ton of money and made no progress, that they realize that quitting is the only way to stop the bleeding.

Hi, I was with EN for a couple of months. My advice is - please don't join. You will need to pay minimum of $145 to stand a chance - blog $25, Inner Circle $100 and ewallet $20 - EVERY month. The other levels are one off payments. I don't know if you get a refund of the one off payments if you want out. Do you really want to pay out thousands for something you can't download, or the same type of material over and over? It's a big gamble. If you insist on joining, please don't even think of spending above the blog $25 level until you check it out. Remember there IS a lot hype and ra-ra to get you to spend more. Those making heaps are experts at what they do - not new, and they joined ages ago - THEN there were still lots of people still to be recruited. It's stagnating a lot now. Please consider the other member's responses to your posting in making your decision.

"THEN there were still lots of people still to be recruited". But to do what, exactly? Sell some other sucker a blogging package for $25 per month that they can do elsewhere or here for free on their own siterubix site? Get those victims *oops* their downline to pay $19 for an ewallet, because there's no free options like PayPal, huh? Hassle them for another $100 a month to join their inner-circle so they can hassle them some more to fork out thousands of dollars for videos that are just sales pitches for the even more expensive Costa Rica Experience? EN always was and always will be nothing more than a pyramid blogging scam. I'd rather be thought a "wussy" than known to be an actual "fool". :) Rich.

Hello Justin. I just joined WA a few minutes ago and the first thing I saw was your post here about EN. I have been a $25.00 member of EN in the past and have been considering rejoining of late.

Based on what I have learned here on this post and what I have learned on the video I mention below...I will not be rejoining EN now or ever for that matter!

I just came from WA member Ian Pribyl's Youtube site. In fact I joined WA through his WA link.

He reviews many IM products and internet businesses. He does a lot of in depth research and really seems to know his stuff. To get his view on why not to join EN you can do a search to find his review video on EN.

I would post a link to the review but I am a free member so I cannot.

Search the following search term on Youtube to find it:

Hello Justin

It's also best if you ask this question to someone who has actually been with EN (ME) lol.

I had been with Empower Network for 4 months at only the basic level of only $25 per month thankfully. During those 4 months I posted blog articles and applied the training taught here at WA and it was good for a while as some posts were reaching the first pages of google and I was getting traffic :)

However, after the google updates my posts were sliding down the rankings and the traffic was dropping which was bad.

After the 4 months I had ZERO sales from none EN products, only 3 EN leads and 1 unpaid EN member in my team.

I did have an awesome upline sponsor who was always there if I needed help and who I'm still friends with now.

But I had ZERO personal support from Darren Little who's team I was in AND I also contacted Simon Stepsys (the BIG earner) 3 times, had 1 reply from him asking me who's team I was in and guess what? Received NOTHING from Simon either. Seems to me that the big boys are only in it for themselves!

So, this is why I quit a few days ago and also with thanks to Kyle's scam blog post ;)

If you don't go all in with Empower Newtork, you will get ZERO support from other EN members.

Don't waste your money for ZERO sales in return either...

Stick with WA my friend.

I was where you are and about to sign up (due to slick video marketing) and during my thorough research on Empower Network I found Kyle's blog on internet scams. And here I am! No one can tell you what to do Justin but as Rich suggested, read Kyle's blog on this scam and you'll get a much better understanding. You may want to read this on my website as I based this description on Empower's very slick video marketing. http://yourmoneytree.siterubix.com/scam-alerts

The reference to huge mansions and fast cars (on my website) was after I saw the Empower promotional video. It wreaks of a scam like hundreds of others I've seen which have now been shut down by gov. authorities. It's up to you. Good luck!
