Designing my website
Creating a website that I can be really be happy about has taken me awhile. When I first started (it's only been 2 months) I had so many website ideas. I wanted it to look fancy and all that, but having a fancy website was a little hard to keep up. There was so many little issues I couldn't seem to get around so I would change the theme.
I started off with a bookcase them which looks pretty but didn't quite make sense for a review site. The book case only showed the author and the name of the book but didn't tell my visitors why it was there.
The next theme allowed for me to have a background picture and copy in the middle. I love my background image and was happy with my site for a while. The image in the background was slowing down my website, and sometimes the site would not open at all. This was super frustrating and then I realized if I was a potential audience i would just leave.
Then it finally hit home like a ton of brick - SIMPLE IS KEY
So I change my site to what it is now which focuses on the content of my site and not the pretty pictures and fancy look and feels.
The site I am referring to is - http://jeansbookreviews.com/
