Some helpful hints:
What is it?
Do you enjoy it Are you passionate about it? Will others be as passionate about it?
Is it marketable?
Have you done searches on it? Have there been many searches on it? is it popular?
Promote it, Monetize it!
Is it the best? if it is, tell them. How can it benefit them? Tell them. Recommend it.

The way I percieve doing a work at home job is that you want to enjoy what you are doing. If you don't thats a good thing then you are right. For me I want to enjoy life and help others just like me. So yes, I have a special intrest in the way I'm building my web blog.
It's very marketable when I am living the same life as many others. My main concern is the people who I'm targetting to help. I have been through all the issues of finding simple things like Apparel.
Promote it and monatize it is a very good question on to accomplish that. I have a belief that if you give readers quality content, then the rest falls into place. Mind you it still takes a lot of thought and planning to make it happen.
