If your website is new would it be best not to connect with Google search console until you have made some changes regarding the new HCU update?

GSC and GA measure your website's performance; it is your action on your website, your choice of keywords, and the content you write. This is my understanding.

You also want to read what Kyle has noted in your previous question.

Thanks

You are welcome, Joseph :)

There have been many updates with Google but the latest one seems to be affecting niche websites. What are WA best solutions for these Google's latest updates for current niche

Hi Joseph, If you search here on WA for "Google Updates" you will find a lot of information. Here is one of them that I found for you - Best as always,

Simon

Thanks i will have a look

When things change, be willing to change. Google has made it clear they are going after long tail content. They have also put a high level of importance on advertising.

If you want to understand how to benefit from Google, undestand that. :)

Appreciate the feedback, thanks!

Don't rely solely on Google; share on social and build an email list.

I agree, diversifying helps, thanks.

Less analysis and push more content. We may have to wait till the dust is settled.

Thanks for the reply, interesting times.

Yup, indeed :)

Hi is this still relevant today that Magistudios did for local seo in 2024? Premium Local SEO 2018: 1st Steps to Ranking? If not is there an updated one?

I cannot find the class. Can you perhaps give us the link? Thanks :)

Thank you, I appreciate it.

It is a good practice always to cross-reference findings.

In what sense?

Thanks, i will have a look at this link.

The sense I mean is in respect to the methods and what Magistudios taught back then. Have things changed? Do the methods still work? Or is there an updated version or methods for local SEO?

I would leave a note in the comments for Jay or forward a private message. I will have to watch it before I can comment.

Ok, I left a message in the comments. I will try private messaging also. Thanks

Np :) And you're welcome

Jay replied:

Yes, as most of this is evergreen based which means the techniques still work today.

Thank you, Joseph :) I appreciate it.

If a keyword that's got the less than that sign: < is it good because it says great but is 0 QSR?

"<10 - AVG" means that Google currently lacks sufficient data; however, this may change in the future.

The QSR is zero, indicating no competition. Is this consistent with your niche? Is it a genuine keyword? If so, perform a Google search to see what appears on the first page. This can provide valuable insights.

Good point, thanks for the reply. Yes, its a genuine keyword and is consistent with my niche. I will try the google search.

You're welcome :) Please keep us updated on your progress.

If it makes sense to your business, and it would add value to your readership, that is fine.

Just do know that if it is a longer tailed (longer phrase) keyword, you will naturally be targeting all of the keywords internal to the phrase. :)

Ok, great thanks for the reply!

What are cheap or free alternatives for privacy policies and disclaimers that are legal because some of these generators are super expensive?

thanks

My bad i thought my first Q never went through

Oh really! I heard of WP LEGAL; some folks use it here. But I still see a professional is a much better choice as you'd know you're covered.

Yes WP legal seems good and reasonable pricing. When you say a professional, do you mean to go to a solicitor direct and get them to write them up? This would cost a fortune. Or do you mean a particular platform to use? For example, I tried privacypolicies that seem very professional. They are great for free generic but once you start saying you are collecting data affiliate marketing etc etc they start charging extra individually. It becomes very expensive.

Yeah! They may cost a bit, but then you're covered if this is important and a priority.

You have templates here within the site content.

If you want additional clauses added, best to see a professional vs finding a generator.

I am familiar with these but they seem very generic. For example, when you start getting into Google Analytics, email marketing, and storing people's data for remarketing purposes etc etc it becomes more complicated and expensive. A lot of these things are legal and mandatory. I was hoping anyone could offer cheap alternatives if they are any.

I have used the templates for a long time; I didn't need other bits. However, the same advice stands out: See a professional about the extra classes, and then you are covered.

Ok thanks for the feedback!

Np :)
