I just changed all my posts and pages to the new user Jessica but my home page is not listed for me to change, how do I go about changing the author to Jessica instead of admin

it may be that your browser is showing you a cached version ( stored) of your site...
to update to the updated one press ctrl+f5 in any windows browser when on your home page...
that will refresh the borwsers cache for that page...
i hope you get it sorted

Have you set up your blog under a static page, settings > reading

https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/static-front-page/

However when you change from users tab and save, it should change sitewide.

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

You can go to users tab and input your first name, then you can get to choose it and save changes. That's users tab of your WordPress sites back office

Is there a way I can change the order in which my posts are located on my site?

You can also do "all posts" then look at the post of interest and do a "quick Edit" and change the date and or time. Then save your changes. This is good if you want some posts to appear before or after others.

Thank you that's very helpful.

You are very welcome.

Hi - typically, your site will be set up as a blog roll.

Each time you write a new post, it will go to the top of your homepage and push the older posts down, as readers want to see your freshest content first.

You can set one particular post as "sticky" if you want, so it will always be at the top.

Ok how do I do this?

Find the post in your list in WordPress and go to Quick Edit.

You will see the option - make this post sticky.

Thank you very much. I I have another question. I went to feature an image to show up on my home page on my about Jessica post and it didn't show up, instead the image showed up on my page. How can I change this?

Did you publish it as a page or a post? Featured images don't show up on pages.

I published it as a post but I Asiago have a about Jessica page which it's linking to, that's what happened.
