I need it to provide to a vendor to set up one of my sites.

Here's a tutorial on Structured Query Language J https://www.tutorialspoint.com/sql/

Ask WA technical support. As WA Site Rubix is more "user friendly" than "technical", I am not sure that they will provide this information. This is really "under the hood". If they provide, great. If not, at least you know.

Let us know how you get on. For example, they provided the information (just do not say what the information is) or they did not provide the information.

I would like to have forms on my site that will allow clients to fill in a form online, that will be emailed to me when complete.

Here is another one. We use it, and the good thing is it is integrated with Paypal so you don't have to set up paypal.
https://www.machform.com/

Wonderful. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much.

Try this one and there are others on line https://www.jotform.com/signup

Just checked it out. Is there a plug-in or simply a code that is placed in the site?

Look at the top menu bar to select forms, themes, plugins and more!

Can I give access to one of my web site "admin" areas without giving full access to my WA "Admin"?

A note of caution --

Do you personally know the person who's requesting admin access? Is some specific reason that he/she needs such extensive access?

Once someone has been granted admin access, they can do *anything* to your site that you can. This includes changing your password and locking you out of your own sites

That is why I was wondering if there was a way to just give access to a particular domain. I'm having my site installed for me.

J T

In that case, you'd want to first add your domain name to your siterubix domain list (using the SiteBuilder function panel).

Once the domain has been added, you'll be able to provide your site installer your admin login password for just that domain. With that information, they won't be able to access anything outside of that particular domain.

I am having a vendor install an app/site to one of my sub domains. I don’t know the person. I gave my ftp credentials, but I am told that my Wordpress user name and password is needed. I really don’t want to give my WA credentials. Is there a way around that?

Ypu don't need to provide your WA login. The wordpress user name and password are specific to the domain he's working on. You find those on the pane that opens when you click on "Log In" for the domain.

Thank you very much!!

Give them the info shown here. Click and open the password.
Also give them the https://YOURSTIE.com/wp-admin/
That gives them access to this site only.

Can someone tell me whether a domain transferred to WA can be pointed to another host? The same question for e-mails. Can they be forwarded to a different email address?

When domain is transferred, does the balance of the term remaining with old registrar transfer as well?

Yes, you can transfer your domain name to Wealthy Affiliate and keep your website hosted wherever it is now. I've done this with many websites. Transferring the domain name does not automatically change your DNS (Domain Name Servers).

Your email addresses are always set up at the place that's hosting your website (not where your domain name is registered).

It is only the domain name I want to transfer. No site is hosted using the names yet. Thank you for your feedback.

JT

Do you have a website currently hosted at WA on that domain?

If yes, it's not enough to "point" the domain address to another host. You will also need to transfer the entire site to the other host.

If you don't have a website and you plan to build your site at the other hosting company, get the DNS server address from the other hosting company and insert it into the DNS address field in your WA domain registrar account.

I have a site at one registrar that is expiring. I want to transfer to WA befire ut expires and point to the site where it is now pointed.

It is only the domain name I want to transfer. I plan to have WA as host. My domain name was about to expire. Before I could transfer GD renewed for two years. I want to move to WA now if I can transfer the 2-year renewal. Otherwise, I'll just point to my WA site. Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry you missed the pre-expiry date for transferring the domain registration.

For now, I suggest just point it to your WA Site because you have time on your side to get the correct information.

Then put in a WA Site Support ticket and ask about the domain registration cost in your situation.. I believe you may be required to pay at least 1 year to WA (that is an ICANN rule). I'm not sure whether you end up with 3 years registration or how that works when there is 2 years left with another registrar. Best to get the correct answer from support.

I would also check with GD if they charge for transferring the name out, if you don't already know.

Post again to let us know how it works out so we will have this answer for others who may need to know this information. ~Jude

If you get the transfer authorization you could have your site host moved. The answer to your other question is yes you could have your email forwarded to another by going to siterubix. Just click on the site manager tab and then the email tab at the top and you can set up the forwarding address. Hope this helps.

I think so. Thank you.

No problem at all :)

Thank you. It is only the domain name I want to transfer. I will host with WA. I did not find a post that addressed whether the remaining 2 years with my current registrar was transferable. Thank you for your feedback.

Thank YOU!
