The Stillness and the Quiet!

Hello to all my Wealthy Affiliate friends! JrzyGrlBJ here coming to you on this Sunday from the shores of New Jersey! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Half the day has faded away and yet the quiet still lingers on. No one stirring except for Chance and me. Our morning walk finished, we now sit in the stillness and in thought. Well, one of us is in thought, the other off somewhere in dreamland.

My son must've returned late last evening or very early this morning, for he has not stirred yet either.

It is another beautiful sunny day here at the Jersey Shore and I long to be out and be part of it, but shall not tempt fate and suffer another painful sunburn or rash.

So here we sit, just my buddy and me, just as carefree as we can be, enjoying the quiet that fills the air, for soon the quiet will become chaos and my thought process will disappear into the day, like the sun slipping behind puffs of blue clouds.

This is the peaceful time I enjoy the most. The time when I can hear pins dropping, our hearts beating, and feel the stillness that surrounds me.

My goal for the rest of the day, is to spend time in WA. I will take full advantage of the quiet and continue to work on my training video, while my thoughts are still unobstructed by the sounds of dogs barking, people coming and going, motorcycles revving or loudness from the garage.

I also plan to spend time on WA training, responding to emails received, and completing the overhaul of my rescue dog website.

Next week, will be busy with doctor appointments and such, but I hope to also accomplish more of my poetry manuscript as I prep it for KDP publication.

This is a short blog I know, but want to accomplish my days' goals before the quiet disappears. With any luck, I'll be able to do just that.

Wishing everyone at WA a great week ahead!

I love that peaceful time, although the only time I really get it is when I have my headphones on listening to music because with a 7 year old, one dog, two cats and the spouse, there is not a lot of quiet around here!

Glad you and Wingman Chance had some time to rest and enjoy that quiet time before the work and the noise began!

Actually it is still pretty quiet around here.
Wingman Chance is enjoying the peacefulness and taking advantage of every opportunity to take a nap.

Have a great week!
Barbara

Good dog!

He really is, until my son's dogs get into the mix. Then all hell breaks loose.
My son got a bad burn from being out on the water all day yesterday, so he and his dogs haven't moved room is room. Hence the peace and quiet.

Barabara

That sun is violent. My granddaughter's face cheeks are burned and it looks painful!

Enjoy the peace and quiet!

Karin

Yes, I have very fair skin and only need to be out in the sun a short time to get burned.

😢

They say I have the Irish curse having far skin. All my skin related issues began in 2001 when I began taking an immune suppression drug to control Ulcerative Colitis. After 15 years of taking the medication, it caused my cancer and back in 2001 I began getting a type of skin cancer as well.

My immune system has been compromised so much, I don't dare stay out in the sun.

I thought the Irish were lucky! LOL... I sometimes think the medications they give us to treat illnesses are worse than the illnesses they are set out to treat!

I wish you well. There has to be a better way that you can enjoy the outdoors and not have to worry about getting fried or cancer or other dreadful sun side effects generated by medications....

I shall have to begin my research....

Karin

Thank you, Karin!
I no longer take the medication but the damage has already been done to my immune system. When the cancer developed I underwent Chemo and radiation treatments, which further compromised my immune system.

Well, my thoughts are with you for sure! I know that you are strong because you have proven that by surviving cancer.

Keep it up! You are inspirational!

Hi Karin,
I want to thank you very much for your kind words of encouragement. You are very thoughtful and I appreciate that extremely.

Barbara

We need that time to relax for sure. By the shores is very nice. Planning on a trip soon to the mountains so I can breath the fresh air and listen to the wind through the pines. enjoy!
Bill

Hi Bill,
Thank you for stopping by to comment on my post. It is much appreciated.

The shore is different now because of the pandemic. It used to be that this was so crowded on the weekends and holidays, that it would take forever just to get by to the grocery store and back.
Not anymore, though. Tourism here was big before covid-19.
I'm sure all the shops and merchants are taking a beating.

Have a good time in the mountains!

Barabara

Was the beach closed yesterday and today?

Not that I was aware of. But still the crowds of tourists we get from all over, is normally huge.

Good luck with that.

I'm assuming you mean the training video?

Thank you!
Barbara

Yes, of course.

Thank you.

It certainly is!
Thank you, Keisha

I loved your description of your quiet time. I could see it and feel it with you. Great writing style Barbara.

Greg

Hi Greg!
Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. I appreciate it tremendously!

What are you doing today?

Barbara

Just finished another chapter. Cleaned house earlier, and now, about to do laundry. Happy house, happy spouse. lol

Actually, this little routine is one that I enjoy.

Good for you, Greg!
