1. Akismet

This comes bundled with WordPress. Activate it and sign up for the service to keep the spam comments at bay.

2. SumoMe

This plugin is great for adding social share buttons to any page of your site. It also comes with landing pages, email pop-ups, and heat maps! The heat maps are awesome because they let you see what the visitors of your site are clicking on and what they think should be clickable! Super useful.

3. Google Analytics by Yoast

This makes your Google Analytics viewable inside of WordPress. It's not full featured and only shows your visits and bounce rates for the past 28 days. It's great for a quick peak without haveing to log into Google.

4. SEO Friendly Images

This makes sure your photos have the correct words to match your title. Our titles should have our keywords in them. So naturally this will put our keywords into our photo alt text and titles.

5. Pretty Link Lite

This one is talk about here on Wealthy Affiliate and I think it's where I first heard about it a few years back. This can be used to make any affilite linke match your site. But it also lets you track certain stats. I use a "pretty link" on my social pages to see how many clicks each are getting.

6. EWWW Image Optimizer

Big images mean a slow site. This will take each photo you upload and optimize it into a smaller version that looks just as amazing. This keeps your page speed up and your visitors happy!

7. Yoast SEO

All-In-One SEO is what is recommended here at Wealthy Affiliate but I've always used Yoast and I can't give it up. If you want an in depth look at this plugin PM me and I'll send you the link to my review.

Pretty Link Lite and Yoast SEO are definitely great tools. Seems like the SumoMe one slows things down a bit, but I like what it does. Any tips on how to keep that from getting in the way?

I've found that limiting the number of apps that you use within sumome is the only way to get some benefit of the app without to much slowdown... However, I am always looking for the best plugins so I may come across one better in the future.

Thanks for the information.

No problem, I'll never be without these plugins

I will keep these handy. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome!
