Do you feel that inner fire?

I Went to college straight out of High School to pursue a degree in electrical engineering as well as theory and componentry. Once getting my foot threw the door into DOD security clearance contracts, I became instantly enthralled with flight, aviation, aeronautics, principles of flight, aerodynamics, and everything in between.

Unfortunately no matter how much information you absorb or learn or may posses on any number of topics, the large emblazoned doors of corporate America remain unwaveringly closed when it comes to lack of experience, track record, and lack of being within the inner-sanctum of the good'ol boy network.

Without the proper credentials and connections, my dreams of a career in the aviation industry flew off into the sunset so to speak. But being laid off from a job that I absolutely dreaded waking up and going to day after day, I'm beginning to see some (if not bountiful) potential in this very supportive, and network based good'ol boy and girl network of our own.

I can't speak for everyone here, but I and i'm sure many of you plan on doing very big things, while succeeding at this opportunity which I had the great fortune of stumbling upon, at just the right time in my life, despite the expected and inevitable setbacks. I believe perseverance and dedication to yourself, your ambitions, and your life goals in general is the ultimate driving force of finding and maintaining true happiness.

Life is entirely to short to waste even a minute of it doing something that does not fulfill that desire of happiness we all dream of. Even worse is wasting any amount of time on things we absolutely despise (even if born out of necessity) like paying bills. That is just not the way we as humans were designed to live life. Humans were bestowed with intelligence, ingenuity, creativity, unique skill sets, the ability of linear and non linear thinking to deduduce complex problem-solving conclusions.

With all of this knowledge and creativity, why is it that the majority of humans drone on through mediocre lives (myself certainly included) like worker ants, miserable but unrelenting in our daily and depressingly menial jobs, and substandard life, while simultaneously leaving virtually no time for the things we actually enjoy and which make us feel alive? I have no idea why that is. It baffles me.

Most humans have on average 40-70 IQ points higher than the next closest scholarly animal kingdom minds on the planet. Why this obvious desparity of variation in what monkeys (for instance) can accomplish and what we can? Of course the human race has had plenty of forward thinkers, activists, doers and visionaries. But compare that sample of the SUCCESSFUL human population to the remaining men and women on the planet and it equates to an almost immeasurable divergence.

If I were to guess why this paradoxical inconsistency presents itself time and time again, generation after generation, my OPINIONATED hypothesis would be contributed to three main factors.

1. Fear of reprisal, rejection, or failure for acting on your own inner creativity. This person is routinely labeled as "strange", bizarre", or a "pipe dreamer"

2. The unwillingness of putting in the work, and the fortitude to see it through. The age old adage has always taught us that "What you put in, is what you'll get out". That still seems relevant today right? If you really want to attain what it is that you're after, man/woman up and seize it. The biggest inhibitors of this facet are lack of vision, lack of a solid game-plan with clear-cut attainable goals, lack of creativity, and lack of motivation. Fortunately all of these issues are easily remedied with a little creative thinking, and getting yourself psyched to the point to at which you no longer you care what it takes to accomplish what it is you're chasing and that first taste of victory.

That first small accomplishment begins focusing the entire landscape and foresight of your goals, and visions providing the initial spark which ignites that inner fire which starts to kindle, smolder, and grow. The larger your inner fire, the larger your success. And just like any fire, it takes on a life of its own, needing to feed and consume to grow larger and larger. At this point you'll be feeding that inner fire with such large, innovative ideas, and visions, you're success could get out of control.

*(The one caveat to facet 2)* As much as we want it, and as hard as we try, and as willing as we are to put in the work; there will ALWAYS be a monkey on our backs. It's name is "Fear Of Investment". The sheer thought of investing money scares the hell out of me, when I can barely pay my bills and provide for my family. The other fear of investment is that of our time.

As we discussed earlier, our time is very limited, and we can never get even a second of it back. So naturally being the skeptics that we as analytic humans should be, we ask ourselves the following questions: Is this venture worth the investment of my minuscule and laughable amount of money? And do I believe the potential payoff is worth the risk? And to cover the investment of time doubt: Am I wasting my time on a fruitless venture that's going to lead me nowhere except to being older ,poorer, and have nothing but pocket lint, and a bad taste in my mouth to show for it? These are personal questions which need to be given some serious consideration by anyone who may be undecided about obtaining their dreams through the unique, thorough, and unfaltering help and guidance of the WA staff and community alike.

3. "The Dreaded Fear Of Change" No one honestly accepts and embraces change immediately and without some degree of apprehension. But, when the ante is upped, and you're making possible life altering changes that could have devastating consequences, or more likely have blissfully life changing effects, your mind perceives this thought process as animosity, than recognizes the potential for growth.

There is a behind the scenes battle being waged between the different hemispheres, quadrants, and sectors in your brain (your rational and impulsive synaptic warriors) if you will. This entire process occurs within a matter of seconds. You'll subconsciously weigh all of the known pros and cons, risks and rewards, positive and negative potential etc...

But the biggest underlying influence on large scale life impacting choices is repetitive proof that the risk is worth the reward. Most of us like fractional or percentile thinking when it comes to deciding odds of effectiveness. If we look around at all the members on the WA site and only 20% of them were mildly successful, we would all pull out without thinking twice.

Now, conversely reciprocating that same percentage, and we saw that 80% of all WA members were successful in terms of not having to worry about living paycheck to paycheck, than my brain says subconsciously says "put me in coach, I'm ready!". And that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Take a look at the figures for yourself. Talk with the established and unestablished members alike. Think about the top notch training and support you receive, not to mention all of the cool tools. If you want to live a lucrative life of freedom, not have to answer to any boss {except perhaps your wife}, than this should be an absolute no brainer! What have you got to lose except the potential prosperity, happiness, financial freedom, and spending of YOUR time the way YOU see fit?

So tell me, what could possibly be the point of always being miserable, being stuck in the same mundane and mindless routine for years on end, while watching your body and soul, relationships with yourself, friends, and others alike simply wither away? It could potentially manifest into an uncontrollable downward spiral ending in regret, remorse, and ultimately the end of another unfulfilled visionary's dream whose only faults were lack of drive, and being to afraid to exit their comfort zone, and take those leaps of faith that could very well change your life forever.

But fortunately this need not be the case. If you can imagine it, you can accomplish it. Dreams and goals are what we as humans live for and look forward to. They are what create our internal burning force. When those goals and dreams and ambitions are met, we elevate the loftiness of new ones until our inner fire no longer needs stoking and cannot be put out by anything except for our own decision to retire comfortably at the ripe old age of 40!!! Now that is a lofty yet attainable dream. I wish all of you the very best of luck and hope you hold tight to your long term goals and persevere through any animosity. Unfortunately there are those out there who for whatever reason don't like to see people succeed. Brush your shoulder off and always move forward. I hope everyone of you reach the paramount of your desired happiness and success. We now have the means at our fingertips, but do we have the inner strength to consistently act upon those means. I know what my answer is;-]

Best of luck to ALL, Jason

BTW-As I'm only 34 yrs old much of my post consisted of fast tracked, real life experience and a dash of hyperbole. Hope it helps someone out There.

I absolutely agree>

It's good to have a goal and focus on that goal. WA gives us that focus with building our websites and adding quality content. That's the inner fire of making websites profitable that we all share.
