My logo: How it resonates with my business so far

I just went to an event last night that I found on Meetup.com for a group of young upcoming entrepreneurs in the area. This was the first of hopefully many meetups to come. A part of our meeting was to exchange business cards, so I decided to put mine out there for some honest critique. When the organizer first saw my card, she was intrigued. But she asked.... what does it mean?

When she asked me this question, it was hard for me to explain. I realized this may be an issue when it comes to establishing rapport with future clients.

My business card is very generic right now since I have a few niche businesses I work with. Some include graphic design, online marketing, and travel.

What do you all think about this logo overall? Does it make sense to you? When you see it what are your first thoughts?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I like this Josephine, think it is bright, bold and very eyecatching. If I was to see it somewhere I would certainly pick it up to read it and see what it is. Xx

I like the concept and the energy exuded...I would like the It part removed where it was just Dream Big....

I like it--as a coach or speaker it tells your audience your message

It actually reaches out and says a lot, Josephine very cool and expressive.

Thank you!

Interesting idea

Hi, it's your logo and you can do it the way you want. I really like it a lot but think it may be better to have 'Dream Big' and remove the 'it'. Or...separate 'it' from Dream. Dream It Big instead. Something to think about but it looks fantastic with the person jumping for joy :)

Hmmm. I may play around with that idea. Thanks for the feedback Patsy!

You are welcome! I hope it helps :)

A great logo but I can see why she asked the question "what does it mean".
I'm not a marketing guru, but in my mind, a potential client should not have to ask that question.
A possible solution is to add your niche businesses to the business card....small but legible print.
My opinion, hope it helps!

You are right Michael, and she mentioned the same advice you did. I should at least put my niche in legible print underneath the logo. Definitely going to look into adding that in the near future. Thanks for the feedback!

Personally I like your logo, Josephine. Tony Robbins say "If you want better answers you need to ask better questions". So whether I like or do not like you logo is of little relevance. A better question that I would ask you is: "How does it relate to what you do?".

It seems that you need to have an "elevator speech" .. a set of canned words you could deliver to someone you gave your card to in an elevator and you only had the time period from the 12th floor to the ground floor so say what you do.

Cheers, William.

Thanks, William. You make a very good point. After she asked that it make me really think about how it relates to what I do. I am definitely going to need to work on that "elevator speech"

I think your logo is a direct reflection of who you are! Dream It Big is you and the graphic brings it home. I really like it!

Thank you!

I like it. It's dynamic and emotional, and thus matches the words "Dream It Big." The diagonal line of the figure adds life and the word "BIG" is bigger. You might want to play with the colors, maybe red for "DREAMIT"?

Thanks Boo

I am not married to the colors but I will play with some dynamics and see what fits better.
