Is This The End of The Web As We Know It?
The fight for a free and open internet is heating up again. It's hard to say how this will affect those of us trying to earn our living online, but my guess is it won't be good. Imagine having to pay each carrier just to be on their network.
With the new US administration... handing the web over to corporations may be unstoppable.
What are your thoughts?

While the subject is interesting steer clear of political situations considering the ruleset in WA!
Hi Michael,
You're 100% right and I have zero interest in a political discussion...
My concern here is how this will affect us as online marketers and search engine optimizers. It would be tragic for all of our hard work (and opportunity) to disappear if the web moves towards a "pay to play" type business like the cable TV model used to be.
The potential for ISP's to "bundle" internet packages the way the networks bundle cable channels is scary.

I suspect that it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN.
It doesn't matter how many times it gets shot down, the issue will come up again and again, and it only has to get through once...
