Or will it work with a .net or .place extension?
Any extension will work. .Com is recommended just because it is so recognized on a world scale. You can choose what you want.
Thanks krazykat... GoDaddy says it could take up to 48 hours for changes to take effect. Does that sound correct? Or should it be instant? Not sure if I am putting the ns1.mywahosting.com redirect in the right place...
It is possible to take that long.
Look at Stonefox's response on this question. How long it takes to transfer a domain from godaddy to wa? And Aras on this one How do I move domains bought from godaddy to my WA account
Thank you, Val. That was very helpful. Guess I will have to wait for the transfer to go thru on Godaddy's end before it will let me do anything.
Good. I am glad. You are welcome.
I'm not sure if you know about the question bar up top. It can be soooo handy when you want an answer now. Just type a question or word into that 'need help, ask your question here' bar, and all kinds of good stuff comes up :)
Cheers!
Yes, I noticed a bunch of discussions popped up as I entered my question. I don't think I looked through enough of them. Definitely a great feature.
Cheers!

As long as you can point the dns to wahosting, you're set.

Looks good, but usually there's a place for secondary dns (ns2.mywahosting.com)
I just went back and added the secondary dns. Thanks again!
Glad I could help!
