I have a page entitled 'Resort Rater' where I am hoping readers will write about their favourite ski area and the Rate It on a scale of say 1-5. Any ideas? Suggestions welcome. Reg
Here's a tutorial on creating rating stars. There are more. Just type "rating stars" (without the quotes) into the search box at the top of the page and you will see a lot of info. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/creating-rating-stars-in-your-reviews
What you might have to do is list the resorts yourself, and maybe even give a review. At the very least give some information about the places similar to how travel sites do for hotels. Then have an area for comments. As for having a rating scale that will likely require some manual programming or a pluin.

How do I incorporate a rating option in a page?

I use the Word Press Review Plugin, you don't have to use all the options, you can just use the star, pointer or percentage rating.
Here is two examples I use one with the review part (which I rate at the top and customers rate at the bottom) and I use the stars:

No problem, took me over 2 months to figure out the star rating and the silly thing was I had them all the time, just had to set them up...lol. Make sure you go ahead and give the star your ranking, Google seems to think its an error without any ranking yet...Lol, mine are getting cleared up now since I went and gave them a ranking.
