The Tao of Writing Tutorials, and The Zen of Learning
Hey Friends
The Tao of Teaching
Writing tutorials is not about displaying our knowledge, it's about teaching. How do we teach?
Your target Group
Who's your target group, beginners, intermediate or advanced?
Think about it, don't waste your time, or someone else's. From the very beginning, attract your focus group. Zero in on your Audience here at WA, that will most benefit from your Tutorial. State your target group.
A great Friend of mine, here at WA does this very well, and yes, I am partial to her, because she does put great tutorials together. If you are looking for a model to study, I highly suggest you study her style.
She's highly approachable check her out

Of course there are many others, as devoted as Loes is, I just think she has an awesome nack for uncomplicating the complicated, and making it understandable.
The Zen of Learning
From the very beginning, quiet your mind Grasshopper. You can not rush the Learning Process. I'm the first to suggest to read the lesson once over, then go back to the start and read it again
However, one important point here, and a very important point indeed, is that if there is one word, or one section you don't understand, then STOP. We do tend to let our eyes glaze over, and move on. Just don't do it, don't continue, back track, till you got it :)
Heck, that's what WA is about, that's the reason you are a member; To Learn.
I do hope that there is something to take from my simple post today :)

Sage advice Joseph. You're right, Loes is one of the tops in teaching. We are so fortunate to have so many great teachers here at WA. I learn as much or more from everyone here as from the lessons!
And so are You. WA needs a private forum, that indeed we are allowed to "Showcase" our stuff
I'm so proud of what you have done
