The Dark Side of the "Spam Option"
I know I've been an advocate of not screaming "Spam" for the wrong reasons, and with obvious justification.. I myself have been victim of certain people misusing the Spam option as a "dislike", and ya, it pissed me off, and I voiced my opinion.
However that said, I must admit, WA is open to spam, let it be overt links, or hit by members joining with covert intent.
A site like this one, even with utmost transparency as possible, is still vulnerable. If you suspect or feel shady operations, make note, and I urge you to "follow" that person.
Should your intuition be even quasi confirmed, immediately send a red flag to Kyle or Carson, don't hit spam, unless you're absolutely sure. The Spam option can have unjust bad repercussions on members, use it wisely.
Personally, I have noticed some covert activity, however I've friended these members, waiting and watching, as some might be acting out of simply not knowing the rules.
Wa is becoming a highly coveted site, and with good reason

This is why I never unfollow anyone, even when I know their true colors. Sort of like that saying, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
Agreed Joseph. There's always going to be someone with a grudge trying to ruin the good efforts of others. Sad, but true.
Good advice.....as always.....I that you advise a 'red flag' to be sent to the powers that be.....it's their program and they will see it is followed 'their' way, for that I am most grateful as there is way too much b........ out there and WA should be able to remain being a safe haven for true networking!
I won't much on this but as you know I do agree with some of past issues you have spoken about. As for the covert activity, I believe it would be the same however my communication will be with Kyle or Carson directly as I don't want to have same old negative comments on either my site or for WA.

I obviously missed something, however as adults we should hopefully be able to approach any offenders privately and see if it can be resolved
