People Who Don't Suffer From PMS, Are More Likely To Succeed

Hey Friends,

Yup, you read that right, and it's a proven fact: People who suffer from PMS, aka the "Poor Me Syndrome", are far less likely to succeed.

The Poor Me Syndrome

I must admit, I have a hard time being around people who are chronically afflicted by PMS. Often times they tend to blame the world "out there" for their woes, and carry a compendium of self justifying reasons around, for why their Life is failing.

In a way, PMS is a form of masochism, over time we've allowed ourselves to become stimulated by a series of painful, negative mental and emotional responses, and it has become our pleasurable "comfort zone".

In fact it's effortless, we don't need to take responsibility for our sad plight, as we've convinced our "Self", that because of conditions beyond our control, we are unable to change our life.

Self Enforcing Negative thoughts

~ I'm too old to learn, or change

~ I've always been a failure

~I wasn't loved as a child

~ I have no education

~ Why me?

I can go on, as there's an endless array of justifications we can tell our "Self", that sabotage our own personal happiness and success.

Is there a cure, a way out?

Yup, however it's no silver bullet.

Often times those afflicted with Chronic PMS, will seek to surround themselves with others who share the same poisonous venom, it's a simple Law of Attraction, like attracts like. Breaking free is often easier said than done. That said it's imperative to take distance, and break out of that sort of circle.

The moment we become aware of a negative thought pattern, becoming fully conscious and changing it to a positive thought, is the starting point. A simple example would be;

"I've always failed"

We often judge certain outcomes as failures, rather than seeing them for what they are, and what they are is Feedback. along with an inherent gift, an opportunity for growth and learning. So rather than feeling we are failures, let's ask ourselves; "What can I learn from this"?

Practice, practice, practice, then practice some more.

Practice living in a state of being Conscious.

Self Empowerment, and success demands work, and the Desire to become all we are truly meant to be. To achieve this, one has to remain conscious, aka Self Actualization, that without a doubt will lead to Manifesting what we Truly Desire.

One of the key elements for changing Self Defeatism, is remaining conscious of when negative thought processes occur, and immediately taking action. . Making a point of watching for them, taking charge and actively eliminating them . And this from the moment your feet hit the floor, to when you go back to bed at night.

In the beginning, no doubt it will be an arduous task, however sooner than you think, it will become a mental automated response to negative and destructive thought patterns.

Become your best Friend, rather than your worse enemy

Say Yes Right Now, and Take Back The Day

That's All For Now Folks :)

You too! Grab one of those fish for me! I'll even clean it! :-)

Really? Awesome :)

For years my ex-husband carried around a snapshot taken of me cleaning my first fish (I didn't know the picture was taken). I had a look of, well, I'd have to say "I did it!" I was so excited that day. My parents started taking my siblings and I out fishing when we were all knee high to a grasshopper. I was the one who caught the most fish, I thought. Come to find out years later, my parents would catch a small fish and then when we weren't looking, they would take turns attaching that little bugger to one of our lines so we'd catch it and feel the thrill of catching a fish. Then the next of us would "catch" it and then the next. That poor fish got caught so many times before it finally couldn't be caught anylonger! But the point was taken, all three of us love to fish! But when my parents started me on ocean fishing, WOW! They took me out onto a pier and I had a blast! We were going to charter a boat, but then something came up and we didn't. Never had that chance again. But I'd do it in a heartbeat. I live in Okalahoma on the Texas border now, no ocean to go fishing on. But I'd really love to one day.

I am "Practicing living in a state of being Conscious". This is the most important habit that I am working on. Whenever a thought comes to my mind, I have to be alert and check if this thought is helpful to me to move forward if not I will have to discard it. Great post

Awesome place to be in Vincent, and yes it does take practice

As the old saying goes, You'll find sympathy in the dictionary, between "Shoot and Syphilis" no excuses for under achievement, especially in America. Good blog as always, my friend

I had to read this one right away! All I could think was - no he didn't go there! It's a good post, but I was really expecting something quite different, lol. And I TOTALLY agree with you. Did you know this has actually been scientifically studied and proven?

Yes, it is as a matter of fact, and people w a positive out look also seem to have less health problems.
Glad you enjoyed the title
Have a good one Debby :)

Ha Ha Ha. Clever title. I hope you didn't catch anyone on the 'wrong day'!
