Off Topic: Heroes WA
Hey Friends
There are so many great minds here, we are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many special people.
i was thinking today, of actually creating a page, where members could join and share so much cool stuff:)
Yes, I did re write this post, as it wasn't really saying what I really wanted.
Been kinda lazing around today, and trying to come up with a cool page name. One I thought up was "Wagging The Dog" , a kind of virtual cafe for Zany Minds :)
I mean really, there's so much potential here, wouldn't it be great to have a space where we can share our "out of the box" wares?
From recipes to free stuff we can send each other. Anyway, feel free to share your ideas with me, I'd Love to hear :)
By the way, I don't believe I'm breaking any rules here, however if I am, please feel free to let me know, so I can make the appropriate changes.

Frankly, I joined this community to learn to make money online, not to chat about religion, politics, or sex. There are plenty of chat rooms you can go to talk on whatever you subject you want, if that is what you're into. Nothing personal but that's the truth!!
Another option would be to assign moderators. That way when someone hits that spam button the post is actually reviewed by a real person instead of just deleted.
It would also help with another issue that another member here pointed out. There seem to be more for lack of a better term "crap" posts lately. Useless garbage, borderline loony toon shit. Mods could delete those posts whether they've been reported or not.
Although those types of posts may not be offensive, they bring the value of WA down. They could very potentially be causing high bounce rates on new referrals, when they come here interested in learning how to make money online, and the first thing they see are some of these ridiculous nonsense posts.
One thing I have thought about is for there to be a way to look up people on WA based on their niche. I have had friends ask me about things that are not my specialty and it would be nice to be able to find someone quickly here at WA to ask about it rather than breaking the rules and asking a question publicly that does not relate to WA. I've even had someone here ask me about herbs for cancer. I researched what I could for them. At that time I didn't know anyone who might have a website specific to that issue.
Hi Joseph - I know a few members who have setup their own private FB groups - that may get what you are looking for in the short term, until K&C decide if a private group is something they would like to add to WA?
The cancer niche though - it affects many people I know personally in one way or another (my dad and many immediate family included) - but it may be too close to the bone to discuss openly here for a few obvious reasons.
I in no way want to think about censorship - many people have given their lives to give us this freedom in the countries I'm familiar with - but there are subjects that are just too sensitive to many to be freely discussed - so although I don't agree, there would be many people too close to the subject that would use the Spam button as an "I really don't like this topic" button instead of "I think this is a difficult subject to discuss".
That's where a "disapprove" or "not like" or "sympathise" option would come in useful for these types of posts - as opposed to "like" or "spam".
At the moment, if you don't like something, all you can do is ignore it or hit the spam button - which isn't a fair reflection on the real issue.
Maybe you are too controversial :) - I prefer people who speak their mind (as you do), so you don't have to second-guess their meaning or intention - but not everyone is of the same opinion unfortunately - so when in their domain, you have to play by their rules.
If you setup your own closed FB or G+ group - then I think you would be free from that - as long as you didn't link your thoughts with WA, I don't see any reason for you to have any issue expressing any thoughts - and welcoming those of your group members - openly within your group.
At the same time, I don't see you having any issue (unless there are a few people here who just don't wish to see your posts) with continuing to express your thoughts and feelings here. If they are touching a nerve, then maybe they should be in your own group, where people know what to expect from you???
I hope this is constructive - it's a bit rambling reading it back, but it's after 1am in Scotland, and the weather is blowing a houlie - so I need to go to bed before the power breaks off!!

Cheers Joseph - spam flags should be reserved for self promotion - not expressing an opinion - so I hope people see sense!
If you do have any comments, please let me know - I just speak my mind too - if you do setup a separate "Joseph's Thoughts" group, I'd wait in line to join.

Interesting thought. So are you talking an enter at your own risk 'lounge' type chatroom where religion, politics, sex and cancer can be discussed?
