No, don't want to pick your nose, but how 'bout pickin' your brain?
Howdy Folks
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Sunday
About dropping a line
Ok, you've written and edited that great post or blog, and you want the world to read it. Finally that moment has arrived, your finger is just itchin' to hit that wonderful button. And so leaning back, with a sigh of relief and satisfaction, you click on that all so powerful command; "PUBLISH"
A few hours, then a few days roll by, and you've only accumulated a few hits, yet your content was truly great, what's the problem?
The Bait
Maybe you've neglected one, if not the most important factor when writing an article, I know you've heard this over and over again!
Why are you reading my post?
Yup the title...
So here's where I'd like to pick your brain :)
which would you be most likely to read? An article titled, "I've got a question", or
... "No, don't want to pick your nose, how 'bout' pickin' your brain"...?
Reeling in your Audience
Getting people to actually stop and read your article, is like trying to sell your house. No matter how beautiful the inside is,If the outside looks ok, humdrum, or oh ya run of the mill, well chances are you won't get a lot of takers. However, snazzy it up a little et Voila!
So go ahead, take an hour just to look around at titles, notice which ones reel you in.
Be Brave, allow yourself to be audacious, take the time to write that outlandish title. Isn't your audience worth the extra time?
and thanks for letting me pick your brain :)
That's all for now folks
Later Gators

Hope You enjoyed :)

Hey Loes...you've hit the nail on the head...I don't think our friend Joseph has quite figured out yet that people would read his blogs even if the title said 'No Title Required'! :-) xo
Ahh I know that answer:
The egg came first, because it mutated itself into a chicken, and the chicken has got the mutation DNA and brooded forth on that fact
hmmmm, so you agree, we all have sprouted from primitive mold.
An excerpt from my manuscript :)
~A note in the sands of time
If the physical realm is a manifestation from Divine desire of the Spirit, what a miracle
However, if the manifestation of the Spirit was born from the physical desire for perpetuity, what a miracle of miracles.
Chronicles of a Kamikaze Cowboy

The physical world is a manifest of the spirit of God, The Holy imagination spouted all existing and none existing matter.
In the Netherlands we say
Het is voor God een eitje om een kip te creëren.
which it translated literally: It's an egg for God to create a chicken
and translated in the right way:
It's a piece of cake for God to create a chicken
A passage I Love most is in Genesis
And so God created Man in his own Image.
Why I love this;
we are reflections of the great IS
We are Gods, everything is as perfect as it should be
We have free will to question, to evaluate, and to create.
Indeed it's all a game shadows and mirrors, which we are free to imagine and create, a thousand different outcomes, endings and beginnings...
It's all illusion, with endless possibilities...
And his image reflects our spirits, not our bodies nor our minds, those are merely our transportation in the physical world
Hmmm, sheesh what great discussions You, Willem and I still have to enjoy, how many sleepless hours will be spent discussing the Great IS :)
Love ya Sis

This is a big year for many of us Loes, most of us that communicate here have been working hard. I Believe in our success, I mean Vegas would be great, however a campfire in Ecuador will be really awesome.
Hmmm, if we were are bunch of us, would be great to have Kyle and Carson there too :)
hey Heather and Loes
I hope you two ladies don't mind if I join in with a comment here :)
Sheesh, why do I feel I'm going to get myself in more trouble lol ?
I agree when you have a following, you don't have to work as hard on a title, maybe...
That said, I feel that even greater care must be taken, as if you happen to mislead your audience with your title, you can quickly lose credibility, and thus your following, do you agree?
After all, rapport must remain genuine, at any cost, that's just my take on it :)
Sorry for just jumping in here, :)
I read something very recently. The purpose of the title is to get someone to read your first paragraph. The purpose of the first paragraph is to get them to read your second paragraph. The purpose of the second paragraph is to get them to read your third paragraph. The purpose...
Hi Joseph agreed the title is the way to draw the audience in. For me it is a work in progress. Sometimes you hit the nail on the head, other times you hit your thumb and at times you miss the nail altogether. Does buiding a profile rank in the mix? That then becomes a horse and cart scenario. Thank you for sharing, good food for thought.
Yes, I sure did enjoy! The peculiar in a mundane world grabs me too, ecsepcially while surfing, trying to decide what exactly I want to read about 'this one theme'.
Thanks, it's great!
Yes, but you know how it is....
Here's one I thought of during cleaning, hope it's no double:
There are two ways to risk credibility on this planet:
Arrive too late and be a plagerizer;
Arrive too early and be a visionary.
Have a great week......
Thanks Joseph! The title is a lot to be paid attention to. Yours definitely drew me in... I use the headline analyzer at CoSchedule. It's an amazing tool! It balances out everything in your title and helps to draw people in...
