BS From 'China' Continues

So I get an email from someone who says his company registers brand names and domain names in China. His letter below tells me some company in China is applying to use my website domain name for this company's branding and other related domain names.

Now, this email above came in through my address joe@greensunstorage.com from one of my WA websites of the same domain name.

Please read on:

Dear Manager,

We are an agency engaging in registering brand name and domain names. Our center received an application from QueHuan International Ltd and they apply to register greensunstorage as their brand name and some top-level domain names. We found the main body of domain names is same as your company name. I am not sure about the relationship between you and them. Please tell me whether or not your company authorizes them to register names(s).

We are dealing with the application and we need to confirm whether you have authorized them? If you don't authorize them, please reply me an e-mail. Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Dear Joe?

Thanks for your confirmation. As soon as receiving the application of that company, we checked and found greensunstorage is your company's using name. We are concerned that your name might be affected negatively by their applications, this is why we informed you///. Following Brand name and domain names are applied by that company:
Brand name:
greensunstorage
Domain names:
greensunstorage.asia
greensunstorage.cn
greensunstorage.com.cn
greensunstorage.com.hk
greensunstorage.com.tw
greensunstorage.hk
greensunstorage.in
greensunstorage.net.cn
greensunstorage.org.cn
greensunstorage.tw
greensunstorage.co.in
You know that the domain names registration is open in the world, that company also has the right to apply for the available domain names. You only have the preferential rights to register them.
At present, we haven't passed their application, we need your opinion. If your company consider these names of importance to your company's business or interest, i suggest that your company register these names first so as to avoid confusion or speculation. Of course, each company has their own idea. If you don't think their application will affect your company in the future, then my suggestion is your company give up these names so that we can finish registering for them as per our duty. Please give me your company's decision as soon as possible in order to handle this issue better.///

Best Regards

My Question To The Experts

1. Do you think that this letters from Lei Huang from the China Registry in Hefei, China is real?

2. They are suggesting that I give up the names listed above in their letter. How can I give up anything that I do not own?

That Is All For Now Folks!

I am getting sick and tired of these assholes. You are reading that right. These are assholes who are good for nothing.

Can our experts including the Ambassadors tell me if this is anything I should pay attention to?

Thanks.

Joe

They're trying to get you to purchase the rights to all of the other versions of your domain. Their prices are probably inflated, if not then they would get you to give them your cc info.
I have been having a similar problem with my logo. The company I hired to build it keeps calling me to say that I need to purchase the rights to it so that no one else can take it. I told him I had no job and had made no money with the business as of yet. He started to argue with me that it was very important that I register the logo. I lost it and told him he couldn't squeeze blood out of a turnip and hung up.

That is a nightmare of an experience Carrie! I suppose we just move on to the next step!

Away from the losers and to the next help from winners.

So I just had lunch after an extended nap of 2 hours after a 7-hour sleep last night and now listening to 'The Lettermen' on youtube.

Did I not tell you guys, napping is the best medicine? Ha ha ha.
It works like magic.

Thanks everyone for your comments on these SCAMMERS and losers of the world.

It is worth our note that no matter how sophisticated or advanced internet networks and computer systems get, we would still see elements of the dark web who have shady intentions.

Even WA servers are not exempt. Viruses and malwares are coming out by the hundreds if not more every week.

So....DAMN THE TORPEDOES, FULL SPEED AHEAD!

Hi, JosonInc
I live in Chengdu and I know this behavior very well. For this kind of email, you do n’t have to care about them, just delete it as spam. Their purpose is to make you buy more domain names, in fact, like cn, tw, asin, etc. These suffixed domain names are not very useful for you to own a com domain name.

Great to hear from someone in China! Again my concern is not the spam that are harmless. It is when my personal financial accounts become targets.

Thanks for the feedback Jessroy! I appreciate it.

The plot will continue to unfold. Someone from QueHuan will then email you to tell you that they have received the domain company's advice to not buy those domains but they will go ahead with their purchase as it is important for their business.

Domain company will send yet another email to also ask you to buy. And they will charge exorbitantly.

Ultimately they want your money. Ignore everything and nothing will happen. I've experienced this before too.

My response at this time will be ignore them and/or just tell them to KMRBA! (Kiss My Royal Brown Ass).

Thanks for the feedback Joo!

I'm new here, so based on my perception and understanding of WA, I assume that URLs owned through WA are protected. It is possible to steal URLs and I have a friend who lost their URL due to not having it protected. The entity that took it then asked for several thousand dollars to sell it back. The friend lost years of optimization and URL/webname recognition and didn't have the money to get it back. The URL was technically not stolen and was in the renewal period which allowed it to be acquired and then ransomed back to the original owner because they recognized the unethical opportunity.

Perhaps they just want to sell you other URLs?
Maybe they want to trick you into leasing it and then steal it to add to their complete portfolio of like URL names?
If it's legit, they can have their US based attorneys (or local attorneys for the locale you live in) send you a registered letter showing their intent to legally and ethically rent the URL from you.

This is a great situation to see and learn from. Thank you for sharing and adding us to the discussion.

If I could I would pay forward so she could stay I am bearing holding on I am also working from a cell phone.

I can't say enough to everyone. Thank you for your help and I need help. I have watched the kindness everyone shows for everyone. I want to follow all I can this is what I have been looking for for a long time. Being helpful to other people. Just being nice. Encourage everyone to do better. This website with WA is with it. Any one I can help please message or comment on my page. Thank you
The best pu

Indeed URLs registered in the U.S. would be hard to steal without cooperation from insiders, people who would have access to data of the registration.

Thanks for the feedback Evan.
