Asset Or Expense? Is WA Worth The Investment?

When I first started with Wealthy Affiliate back in 2012 I had no idea what I was doing. Probably like many people when they first started to learn how to make an income online, I use to think of a membership site as more of an expense than an asset.

It wasn't until I realised that this really is a business and not just some make money scam we see far too often that I saw the true value in paying to learn. Wealthy Affiliate is now my business's most valued asset, and to be completely honest I would be kind of lost without this place.

Even though I have done my time here, I still frequently visit here. For many reasons: Recapping things I may have forgotten over the years, helping other members, learning new tactics, inspiration and motivation. Without all of these things I would be alone in the great wide web.

While I would still be making the money I do now online thanks to the training here, I wouldn't have anyone to keep me in the game so to speak. Not many of my off line friends care to much about affiliate marketing, in fact they are sick of hearing about it haha. So the community and support here alone is well worth having as an asset to my online business. It's great motivation!. And yes even after almost 4 years of doing this I still need the motivation or push at times.

Especially when taking on a new niche. The mind is always sprouting negative things and making me double think creating a new site in a niche I don't know if it will be successful. When the truth is, every site I've made since joining here has made me money. Hence why I think motivation/support is critical in this business.

To anyone who is/was like me and full of doubt & hesitation, try to just move ahead. WA works 100% and sometimes you just have to push yourself until you get over to the other side. It's much nicer on the other side too :). Having Wealthy Affilaite as my asset was the best decision I ever made.

Hey Josh just started 2 weeks ago and I'm going through affiliate bootcamp training and wanted to introduce myself. 63 and looking to start something successful on line that will help my kids down the road. My website is " Iwanttobemyownboss.com " and I would surely appreciate any help or feedback you might be able to offer on getting started. Thankyou
Greg

Hi Greg, My advice is to keep following along with the training and taking action. Continue to build out your website with content and it needs some images to interest the readers. A lot of this comes from trial and error. If something isn't working, perhaps try a different angle, re-think the keywords, add more words per page etc. The make money online niche is competitive, so it may take a little longer to crack. I personally prefer the as you can take on any niche :)

Ty Josh

I always enjoy reading posts from members who have been here for a while. I am curious if you are now working online full time. In your profile you mentioned working as a painter full time.

I have been with WA for ten and a half months. I am making some sales, but not enough to pay for my monthly membership fees. I have many days where doubts set in and my anxiety creeps up thinking "am I doing all of this for nothing" and "there is so much to learn that I don't know if I will ever get the hang of it".

But I know if I give up then I won't ever have the chance to be successful. I wish I could look into the future to see if all my hard will pay off. My goal is to be making $2000-$4000 a month by the end of 2016, but I have no idea if I will reach that goal since it was my goal in my first year (which happens on Mar 24, 2016).

Hi TanjaRita. My profile I think is outdated. I have 3 kids now too lol. I'll get around to fixing it soon. I started my own painting business when I was making about 1k a month online. So I still have my painting company because atm I earn everything from amazon and don't like to solely rely on 1 stream of income. Plus I'm building a house and banks don't count my Amazon earning so much as a Job.... Even tho I earn more online than my wage as a Painter. Go figure..

Don't give up! Anything can happen. I dont know how many sites you currently have, but maybe you need a 2nd niche?. As I deal with Amazon I try to find niche products sites with expensive $150 + products. That's the key to my earnings. A new site of mine generated over 2k a month within 6 months, so anything is possible. I pick keywords under 50-100 QSR from Jaaxy. Less comp the better!

Hahaha, yes maybe your profile is outdated. I only have one site so far. I started a second site in a similar niche, but the products all have low price tags, so other than adding an about me page and a privacy policy, the site is empty and abandoned. I cannot find a niche with higher priced items that I feel passionate about, have knowledge about or want to learn about. Hopefully something will come to me one of these days.

I will take a look around amazon for some ideas (I try and do this once a month or so for inspiration).
