Here is my teaser video

What do you guys think?

Good morning Joseph,

I looked at your video and had hoped to see a tad more tease, to me something was missing in form of a fleeting image.

Have a good day, regards, Taetske

I think it's a neat idea. Keep's people thinking about what you are brewing up. Also a significant improvement from the first production. Keep up the good work
Jerome

Interesting presentation!

I like it :-)

Sure... I think that's a great idea. People write that kind of thing before they have content published.

Are teaser videos alright to have while i'm still planning?

Yep, I got the same message as kasage00. Did you remove it from YouTube after all?

it said it was removed by the user

Hi Joseph,
First of, thank you for your service to our country. I applaud you for taking this big step in producing you first video production. It shows that you are determined to be successful with your business. I have to agree with what other members are saying pertaining to the quality of the video but as you mentioned, it is your first one. The sound quality was not the very best. It was very difficult to understand the message you were trying to relay. The image in the beginning was really shaded and hard to see you. I sure that if you implemented some of the suggestions that members have offered here you next production will be an awesome one. Again, very good effort on your first production. I look forward to your next one.
Jerome

Thanks, and the next one will be a lot better!

You are a step ahead of me. I too plan to begin making videos.

I thought that there was a lot of movement in the picture so maybe try a tripod of even a pillow for a steady camera shot. The big challenge was the audio. I simply could not hear what you were saying on a consistent basis. I have found that there are quite a few inexpensive microphones for smartphones out there. A place I go to is http://www.storyguide.net/. This guy makes a lot of sense to me as I prepare to dive into the video world as well.

I wish you well and great success with your video venture.

I will look into the microphones that you speak of. Thanks for the feedback!

Good Morning Joseph
My parents are veterans and they fought in two Gulf Wars and I thank you for your service. Your websites are great and coupled with video is it easy to your focused and work hard. Your initiative to make a video is great but the video itself is awful. I chuckle when I say that, but consider this. I've taken the time to watch your video and provide feedback and like Chris Scott said you can do better. Good Luck with the greenhouse and I can't wait to see your next video.

Thanks for the feedback, I scraped it and starting over with all the suggestions. Thanks again!

There will be many many more and you are going to be awesome. Thank you for your service and soldier on with this thing as you are a soldier!! Hookah!!

PS. The video sucks, scrap it and start over! You can do better take it down is my advice because you never get a second chance to make a first impression. You DO NOT want that thing to be your first impression.

Now, I did not tell you that to be an ass but because you asked and I care.

Now go make some money.

Kind of feedback I like! I took your advice and deleted the video. I hope to show you a new one shortly. Thanks again!

Thanks, Joe. I am excited about seeing it.

I am a Veteran, so I wish to thank you for your service, of course.
The video:

The music is overpowering so that most of the words are lost in it.

The few that I heard were disjointed to the point I did not know what the point of the video was. No distinct enunciation is very aggravating because I wanted to understand what you were about.

The framing mechanism was distracting and there was not connection between you and me (eye contact was almost totally lacking)

Mickeyb

Thank you the great feedback! I will do better next time!

I did not want to dimish my admiration of you for doing something I have not done! I see a lot of videos and many of them were not as good as yours and those are from people claiming they know what they are doing.

Please, try this again, and again! OK? I AM rooting for you!

Mickeyb

Nice video. I could barely hear you though because of the music. Music was cool though!

Good production!

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

Example: 1 sale for every 100 clicks

Each program has a different conversion rate. Most important is that people know what to expect when they click through, then that is what is delivered to them. Often when clicks aren't converting well to sales, it's because expectations didn't match final experience.

I must not be doing enough then, because I have close to 200 clicks on one site and not a single sell, and close to 130 clicks on my other site and still no sale. Thanks everyone for the responses!

Now you have a few more, Joseph, as I clicked on links on your veteran site. Wonderful site with great potential. A couple of things to consider:

1. Check Google Analytics for where your clicks are from (which country). I live in Australia and am unlikely to shop at local Buy Veteran (by the way, those links took me off your site. The links should open in a new window, instead of letting the visitor leave your site completely).

2. Check your SEO plugin to ensure that you have ticked the little box in the general settings that excludes admin links from the click stats. We all click on our links to test them and those should be excluded from the stats.

3. In relation to the products, the content is is a tad short. To get ranked well in search the site has to be seen by search as more than just a product sales site.

For example, the history of veterans day article is quite good, but it is only 283 words. It should be at least 500 words or longer for the search engines to recognize that page as having valuable informational content. And to have the social media buttons at the top and also at the bottom might be too much for shorter content.

Hope some of the above helps. ~Jude

Thank you so much for the tips!

Yes, but what does it take to get those 100 clicks? What is the ratio of clicks to impressions displayed or website visits?

According to Google's benchmark tool, it takes 1,000 ad impression views to get 2 clicks. This is consistent with what I see in my GA stats.

I used the tool to get stats for ten months from January 2016 to October 2016, All Countries, All Formats

In Russia, the CTR is 0.23 per 1000 views.
In the U.S. the CTR is 0.12 per 1000 views.

It seems they click more in Russia than in the U.S.

So, to get 100 sales, the advertising will need to be shown 50,000 times. That's a lot of traffic!

The Google tool is here:
http://www.richmediagallery.com/tools/benchmarks

See screenshot for the CTR rate.

Mel's response fits the general 2-3% response model. Also cited in e-mail and other communication methods!

Agree with Mel.

The global average is 2-3 sales per 100 clicks, but that is wildly dependent on niche, etc.
